1 Kings 11:35
ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮಗನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಗೋತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು.

ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯ ರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯೆಹೂದನ ಗೋತ್ರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನ ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಹೀಗೆ ಅರ ಸನು ಜನರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ಶಿಲೋವಿ ನವನಾದ ಅಹೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಈಡೇರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಕಾರಣ ದೇವರಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾ ಯಿತು.
