ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಾರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಾದೋಕನಿಗೂ ಈತಾಮಾರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹೀಮೇಲೆಕನಿಗೂ ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಚಾರಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ವರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದಂಥ ನೆತನೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಲೇಖಕನಾ ದಂಥ ಶೆಮಾಯನು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಚಾದೋಕನು, ಎಬ್ಯಾತಾರನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನು, ಯಾಜಕರ ಲೇವಿಯರ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಆ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದನು. ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ್ಯರ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಗದವರಾದ ನಂತರ ಈತಾಮಾರ್ಯರ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಗದವರು ಸೇವಿಸ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ನೇಮಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸರತಿ ಯನ್ನು ಚೀಟಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದರು.
