ದಾವೀದನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ದಹನ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
