அபிமெலேக்கு தன்னோடிருந்த எல்லா ஜனங்களோடுங்கூடச் சல்மோன் மலையில் ஏறி, தன் கையிலே கோடரியைப் பிடித்து, ஒரு மரத்தின் கொம்பை வெட்டி, அதை எடுத்து, தன் தோளின் மேல் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, தன்னோடிருந்த ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் என்ன செய்கிறேன் என்று பார்க்கிறீர்களே, நீங்களும் தீவிரமாய் என்னைப்போலச் செய்யுங்கள் என்றான்.
