யோபு 3:1
அதற்குப்பின்பு யோபு தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, தான் பிறந்த நாளைச் சபித்து,

அவனுக்கு ஏழாயிரம் ஆடுகளும், மூவாயிரம் ஒட்டகங்களும், ஐந்நூறு ஏர்மாடுகளும், ஐந்நூறு கழுதைகளுமாகிய மிருகஜீவன்கள் இருந்ததுமன்றி, மிகுதியான வேலைக்காரர்களும் இருந்தார்கள்; அதினால் அந்த மனிதன் கிழக்குப்பகுதியின் மக்களில் எல்லாரிலும் பெரியவனாயிருந்தான்.

யோபுவுக்கு 7,000 ஆடுகளும், 3,000 ஒட்டகங்களும், 1,000 காளைகளும், 500 பெண் கழுதைகளும் இருந்தன. அவனிடம் வேலையாட்கள் பலர் இருந்தனர். கிழக்குப் பகுதியில் யோபுவே பெரிய செல்வந்தனாக இருந்தான்.
