மனுஷர் அனைவரும் அறிவில்லாமல் மிருக குணமானார்கள்; தட்டார் அனைவரும் சுரூபங்களாலே வெட்கிப் போகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் வார்ப்பித்த விக்கிரகம் பொய்யே, அவைகளில் சுவாசம் இல்லை.

ஆனால் ஜனங்கள் மிகவும் முட்டாள்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள். தேவன் என்ன செய்திருக்கிறார் என்று அவர்களால் புரிந்துக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. திறமையுள்ள தொழிலாளிகள் பொய் தெய்வங்களின் விக்கிரகங்களைச் செய்தனர். அவ்விக்கிரகங்கள் மாயையான தெய்வங்களே. எனவே, அந்த விக்கிரகங்கள் அவைகளை உருவாக்கின தொழிலாளிகளின் முட்டாள்தனத்திற்கு சான்றாக இருக்கின்றன. அந்த விக்கிரகங்கள் உயிரற்றவை.
