இப்போதும் இதோ, உன் கைகளிலிடப்பட்ட விலங்குகளை இன்று நீக்கிப்போட்டேன்; என்னோடேகூடப் பாபிலோனுக்கு வர உனக்கு நன்மையாய͠Τ் தோன்றினால் வா, நான் உன்னைப் பத்திரமாய்ப் பார்த்துக்கொள்வேன்; என்னோடேகூடப் பாபிலோனுக்கு வர உனக்கு நன்றாய்த் தோன்றாவிட்டால், இருக்கட்டும்; இதோ, தேசமெல்லாம் உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது, எவ்விடத்துக்குப்போக உனக்கு நன்மையும் செவ்வையுமாய்க் காண்கிறதோ அவ்விடத்துக்குப் போ என்றான்.

நான் தேவ அறிவிப்பினாலே அங்குபோய், யூதரல்லாத மக்களுக்கு நான் பிரசங்கிக்கிற நற்செய்தியை அவர்களுக்கு விளக்கிச் சொன்னேன்; ஆனாலும் நான் ஓடுகிறதும், ஓடினதும் வீணாகப் போகாதபடி சபையை நடத்துகிற தலைவர்களுக்கே தனிமையாக விளக்கிச் சொன்னேன்.

தேவன் எனக்குக் கட்டளை இட்டபடியும் வழி காட்டியபடியும் நான் விசுவாசிகளின் தலைவர்களைக் காணப் போனேன். நாங்கள் தனிமையில் இருக்கும்போது யூதர் அல்லாதவர்களிடம் நான் போதிக்கும் நற்செய்தியை அவர்களிடம் சொன்னேன். எனது பணியை அவர்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினேன். இதனால் நான் ஏற்கெனவே செய்தவையும் இப்பொழுது செய்துகொண்டிருப்பதுவும் வீணாகாமல் இருக்கும்.

நான் போக வேண்டும் என்று வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டபடியால்தான் அங்குப் போனேன். பிற இனத்தார் நடுவில் நான் அறிவித்து வந்த நற்செய்தியைப் பற்றி அங்கே எடுத்துக் கூறினேன். செல்வாக்கு உள்ளவர்களிடம் தனிமையில் எடுத்துரைத்தேன். நான் இப்போது செய்யும் பணியும் இதுவரை செய்த பணியும் பயனற்றுப்போகக் கூடாதே என்பதற்காகத்தான் இவ்வாறு செய்தேன்.
