கர்ப்பவேதனைப்படுகிறவளின் சத்தமாகவும், முதல்விசை பிள்ளை பெறுகிறவளின் வியாகுலமாகவும், சீயோன் குமாரத்தியின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன்; அவள் பெருமூச்சுவிட்டு, தன் கைகளை விரித்து: ஐயோ! கொலைபாதகர்களாலே என் ஆத்துமா சோர்ந்துபோகிறதே என்கிறாள்.

கர்ப்பவேதனைப்படுகிறவளின் சத்தமாகவும், முதல்முறை பிள்ளை பெறுகிறவளின் வியாகுலமாகவும், மகளாகிய சீயோனின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன்; அவள் பெருமூச்சுவிட்டு, தன் கைகளை விரித்து: ஐயோ! கொலைபாதகர்களால் என் ஆத்துமா சோர்ந்துபோகிறதே என்கிறாள்.

பிரசவ வேதனைப்படும் பெண்ணின் குரலைப் போன்ற கதறலைக் கேட்கிறேன். அது முதல் குழந்தையைப் பிரசவிக்கும் பெண்ணின் கதறல் போன்றிருந்தது. சீயோனின் மகளின் கதறலாய் இது இருக்கிறது. அவள் தனது கைகளை விரித்து, “ஓ! நான் எதிர்த்து போரிட முடியாமல், மயங்கி விழப்போகிறேன். என்னைச் சுற்றிலும் கொலைக்காரர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள்!” என்று ஜெபிக்கிறாள்.
