1 யோசியாவின் குமாரனும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவுமாகிய யோயாக்கீமுடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் துவக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரால் எரேமியாவுக்கு, உண்டான வார்த்தை: In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ உனக்குக் கயிறுகளையும் நுகங்களையும் உண்டுபண்ணி, அவைகளை உன் கழுத்திலே பூட்டிக்கொண்டு, Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,

3 அவைகளை எருசலேமுக்குச் சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வரும் ஸ்தானாபதிகள் கையிலே ஏதோமின் ராஜாவுக்கும் மோவாபின் ராஜாவுக்கும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் ராஜாவுக்கும், தீருவின் ராஜாவுக்கும், சீதோனின் ராஜாவுக்கும் அனுப்பி, And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

4 அவர்கள் தங்கள் எஜமான்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்படிக் கற்பிக்கவேண்டுமென்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

5 நான் பூமியையும் மனுஷனையும் பூமியின்மேலுள்ள மிருகஜீவன்களையும் என் மகா பலத்தினாலும் ஓங்கிய என் புயத்தினாலும் உண்டாக்கினேன்; எனக்கு இஷ்டமானவனுக்கு அதைக் கொடுக்கிறேன். I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

6 இப்பொழுதும் நான் இந்த தேசங்களையெல்லாம் என் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்கிற பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் கையிலே கொடுத்தேன்; அவனுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்யும்படி வெளியின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் கொடுத்தேன். And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

7 அவனுடைய தேசத்துக்குக் காலம் வருகிறவரையில் சகல ஜாதிகளும் அவனையும் அவனுடைய புத்திரபெளத்திரரையும் சேவிப்பார்கள்; அதின்பின்பு அநேகம் ஜாதிகளும் பெரிய ராஜாக்களும் அவனை அடிமைகொள்வார்கள். And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

8 எந்த ஜாதியாவது, எந்த ராஜ்யமாவது பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்பவனைச் சேவியாமலும், தன் கழுத்தைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் நுகத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தாமலும்போனால், அந்த ஜாதியை நான் அவன் கையாலே நிர்மூலமாக்குமளவும், பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் கொள்ளைநோயாலும் தண்டிப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

9 பாபிலோன் ராஜாவை நீங்கள் சேவிப்பதில்லையென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிற உங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும், உங்கள் குறிகாரருக்கும், உங்கள் சொப்பனக்காரருக்கும், உங்கள் நாட்பார்க்கிறவர்களுக்கும், உங்கள் சூனியக்காரருக்கும் நீங்கள் செவிகொடாதிருங்கள். Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

11 ஆனாலும் எந்த ஜாதி தன் கழுத்தைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் நுகத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, அவனைச் சேவிக்குமோ, அந்த ஜாதியைத் தன் தேசத்தைப் பயிரிட்டு, அதிலே குடியிருந்து தாபரிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

12 இந்த எல்லா வார்த்தைகளின்படியே நான் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவோடு பேசி: உங்கள் கழுத்தைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் நுகத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, அவனையும் அவன் ஜனத்தையும் சேவியுங்கள், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பீர்கள். I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

13 பாபிலோன் ராஜாவைச் சேவியாமற்போகிற ஜாதிக்கு விரோதமாக கர்த்தர் சொன்னதின்படியே, நீயும் உன் ஜனமும் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் கொள்ளைநோயாலும் சாவானேன்? Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

14 நீங்கள் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவைச் சேவிப்பதில்லையென்று உங்களுடனே சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாதிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் உங்களுக்குப் பொய்யான தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறார்கள். Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

15 நான் அவர்களை அனுப்பினதில்லை; நான் உங்களைத் துரத்திவிடுகிறதற்கும், நீங்களும் உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் அழிந்துபோகிறதற்கும் அல்லவோ இவர்கள் என் நாமத்தைச் சொல்லி, பொய்யான தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைக்கிறார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றேன். For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

16 மேலும் நான் ஆசாரியரையும் இந்த எல்லா ஜனங்களையும் நோக்கி: இதோ, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிமுட்டுகள் இப்பொழுது சீக்கிரத்திலே பாபிலோனிலிருந்து திரும்பிக்கொண்டுவரப்படுமென்று, உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிற உங்களுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாதிருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவர்கள் உங்களுக்குப் பொய்யான தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறார்கள். Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

17 அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடாதிருங்கள்; பாபிலோன் ராஜாவைச் சேவியுங்கள், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பீர்கள் இந்த நகரம் பாழாய்ப்போகவேண்டியதென்ன? Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

18 அல்லது அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாயிருந்து, அவர்களிடத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை இருந்தால், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலும், யூதா ராஜாவின் அரமனையிலும், எருசலேமிலும் மீதியான பணிமுட்டுகள் பாபிலோனுக்குப் போகாதபடிக்கு அவர்கள் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி மன்றாடட்டுமே. But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

19 பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் யோயாக்கீமின் குமாரனாகிய எகொனியா என்னும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவையும், யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலிருந்த பெரியோர் அனைவரையும் எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோகையில், For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city.

20 எடுக்காமல் விட்ட சகல தூண்களையும் கடல்தொட்டியையும், ஆதாரங்களையும், இந்த நகரத்தில் மீதியான மற்றப் பணிமுட்டுகளையுங்குறித்துச் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

21 கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலும், யூதாராஜாவின் அரமனையிலும், எருசலேமிலும் மீதியான அந்தப் பணிமுட்டுகள் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகப்படுமென்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

1 Yosiyaavin kumaaranum yoothaavin raajaavumaakiya yoyaakgeemutaiya raajyapaaraththin thuvakkaththilae karththaraal eraemiyaavukku, unndaana vaarththai: In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Karththar ennai Nnokki: nee unakkuk kayiraுkalaiyum nukangalaiyum unndupannnni, avaikalai un kaluththilae poottikkonndu, Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,

3 Avaikalai erusalaemukkuch sithaekkiyaa raajaavinidaththil varum sthaanaapathikal kaiyilae aethomin raajaavukkum movaapin raajaavukkum, ammon puththirarin raajaavukkum, theeruvin raajaavukkum, seethonin raajaavukkum anuppi, And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

4 Avarkal thangal ejamaankalukkuch sollumpatik karpikkavaenndumentu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar uraikkirathu ennavental, And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

5 Naan poomiyaiyum manushanaiyum poomiyinmaelulla mirukajeevankalaiyum en makaa palaththinaalum ongiya en puyaththinaalum unndaakkinaen; enakku ishdamaanavanukku athaik kodukkiraேn. I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

6 Ippoluthum naan intha thaesangalaiyellaam en ooliyakkaaranaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாr enkira paapilon raajaavin kaiyilae koduththaen; avanukku ooliyanjaெyyumpati veliyin mirukajeevankalaiyum koduththaen. And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

7 Avanutaiya thaesaththukkuk kaalam varukiravaraiyil sakala jaathikalum avanaiyum avanutaiya puththirapelaththiraraiyum sevippaarkal; athinpinpu anaekam jaathikalum periya raajaakkalum avanai atimaikolvaarkal. And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

8 Entha jaathiyaavathu, entha raajyamaavathu paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாr enpavanaich seviyaamalum, than kaluththaip paapilon raajaavin nukaththukkuk geelppaduththaamalumponaal, antha jaathiyai naan avan kaiyaalae nirmoolamaakkumalavum, pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum kollaiNnoyaalum thanntippaen entu Karththar sollukiraar. And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

9 Paapilon raajaavai neengal sevippathillaiyentu ungalukkuch sollukira ungal theerkkatharisikalukkum, ungal kurikaararukkum, ungal soppanakkaararukkum, ungal naatpaarkkiravarkalukkum, ungal sooniyakkaararukkum neengal sevikodaathirungal. For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

11 Aanaalum entha jaathi than kaluththaip paapilon raajaavin nukaththukkuk geelppaduththi, avanaich sevikkumo, antha jaathiyaith than thaesaththaip payirittu, athilae kutiyirunthu thaaparikkappannnuvaen entu Karththar sollukiraar. But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

12 Intha ellaa vaarththaikalinpatiyae naan yoothaavin raajaavaakiya sithaekkiyaavodu paesi: ungal kaluththaip paapilon raajaavin nukaththukkuk geelppaduththi, avanaiyum avan janaththaiyum seviyungal, appoluthu pilaippeerkal. I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

13 Paapilon raajaavaich seviyaamarpokira jaathikku virothamaaka Karththar sonnathinpatiyae, neeyum un janamum pattayaththaalum panjaththaalum kollaiNnoyaalum saavaanaen? Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

14 Neengal paapilon raajaavaich sevippathillaiyentu ungaludanae sollukira theerkkatharisikalin vaarththaikalaik kaelaathirungal; avarkal ungalukkup poyyaana theerkkatharisanam sollukiraarkal. Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

15 Naan avarkalai anuppinathillai; naan ungalaith thuraththividukiratharkum, neengalum ungalukkuth theerkkatharisanam sollukira theerkkatharisikalum alinthupokiratharkum allavo ivarkal en naamaththaich solli, poyyaana theerkkatharisanam uraikkiraarkal entu Karththar sollukiraar enten. For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

16 Maelum naan aasaariyaraiyum intha ellaa janangalaiyum Nnokki: itho, karththarutaiya aalayaththin pannimuttukal ippoluthu seekkiraththilae paapilonilirunthu thirumpikkonnduvarappadumentu, ungalukkuth theerkkatharisanam sollukira ungalutaiya theerkkatharisikalin vaarththaikalaik kaelaathirungal entu Karththar sollukiraar; avarkal ungalukkup poyyaana theerkkatharisanam sollukiraarkal. Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

17 Avarkalukkuch sevikodaathirungal; paapilon raajaavaich seviyungal, appoluthu pilaippeerkal intha nakaram paalaayppokavaenntiyathenna? Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

18 Allathu avarkal theerkkatharisikalaayirunthu, avarkalidaththilae karththarutaiya vaarththai irunthaal, karththarutaiya aalayaththilum, yoothaa raajaavin aramanaiyilum, erusalaemilum meethiyaana pannimuttukal paapilonukkup pokaathapatikku avarkal senaikalin karththarai Nnokki mantadattumae. But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

19 Paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாr yoyaakgeemin kumaaranaakiya ekoniyaa ennum yoothaavin raajaavaiyum, yoothaavilum erusalaemiliruntha periyor anaivaraiyum erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukkuch siraipitiththukkonndupokaiyil, For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city.

20 Edukkaamal vitta sakala thoonnkalaiyum kadalthottiyaiyum, aathaarangalaiyum, intha nakaraththil meethiyaana mattap pannimuttukalaiyunguriththuch senaikalin Karththar sollukirathu ennavental, Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

21 Karththarutaiya aalayaththilum, yoothaaraajaavin aramanaiyilum, erusalaemilum meethiyaana anthap pannimuttukal paapilonukkuk konndupokappadumentu isravaelin thaevanaakiya senaikalin Karththar sollukiraar. Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
