கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரையும், அதின் பிரபுக்களையும் நியாயம் விசாரிப்பார். நீங்களே இந்தத் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தைப் பட்சித்துப்போட்டீர்கள்; சிறுமையானவனிடத்தில் கொள்ளையிட்ட பொருள் உங்கள் வீடுகளில் இருக்கிறது.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் கோபமடைந்து, அவர்களைப் பெலிஸ்தர்கள் கையிலும், அம்மோனியர்களின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

எனவே கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலர் மீது கோபமடைந்தார். பெலிஸ்தரையும் அம்மோனியரையும் இஸ்ரவேலரைத் தோற்கடிப்பதற்கு கர்த்தர் அனுமதித்தார்.
