Zechariah 3
1 फिर उसने यहोशू महायाजक को यहोवा के दूत के साम्हने खड़ा हुआ मुझे दिखाया, और शैतान उसकी दाहिनी ओर उसका विरोध करने को खड़ा था।
2 तब यहोवा ने शैतान से कहा, हे शैतान यहोवा तुझ को घुड़के! यहोवा जो यरूशलेम को अपना लेता है, वही तुझे घुड़के! क्या यह आग से निकाली हुई लुकटी सी नहीं है?
3 उस समय यहोशू तो दूत के साम्हने मैला वस्त्र पहिने हुए खड़ा था।
4 तब दूत ने उन से जो साम्हने खड़े थे कहा, इसके ये मैले वस्त्र उतारो। फिर उसने उस से कहा, देख, मैं ने तेरा अधर्म दूर किया है, और मैं तुझे सुन्दर वस्त्र पहिना देता हूं।
5 तब मैं ने कहा, इसके सिर पर एक शुद्ध पगड़ी रखी जाए। और उन्होंने उसके सिर पर याजक के योग्य शुद्ध पगड़ी रखी, और उसको वस्त्र पहिनाए; उस समय यहोवा का दूत पास खड़ा रहा॥
6 तब यहोवा के दूत ने यहोशू को चिता कर कहा,
7 सेनाओं का यहोवा तुझ से यों कहता है: यदि तू मेरे मार्गों पर चले, और जो कुछ मैं ने तुझे सौंप दिया है उसकी रक्षा करे, तो तू मेरे भवन का न्यायी, और मेरे आंगनों का रक्षक होगा; और मैं तुझ को इनके बीच में आने जाने दूंगा जो पास खड़े हैं।
8 हे यहोशू महायाजक, तू सुन ले, और तेरे भाईबन्धु जो तेरे साम्हने खड़े हैं वे भी सुनें, क्योंकि वे मनुष्य शुभ शकुन हैं: सुनो, मैं अपने दास शाख को प्रगट करूंगा।
9 उस पत्थर को देख जिसे मैं ने यहोशू के आगे रखा है, उस एक ही पत्थर के ऊपर सात आंखें बनी हैं, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यह वाणी है, देख मैं उस पत्थर पर खोद देता हूं, और इस देश के अधर्म को एक ही दिन में दूर कर दूंगा।
10 उसी दिन तुम अपने अपने भाईबन्धुओं को दाखलता और अंजीर के वृक्ष के नीचे आने के लिये बुलाओगे, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी है॥
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
6 And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

1 यह बात सत्य है, कि जो अध्यक्ष होना चाहता है, तो वह भले काम की इच्छा करता है।
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 सो चाहिए, कि अध्यक्ष निर्दोष, और एक ही पत्नी का पति, संयमी, सुशील, सभ्य, पहुनाई करने वाला, और सिखाने में निपुण हो।
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 पियक्कड़ या मार पीट करने वाला न हो; वरन कोमल हो, और न झगड़ालू, और न लोभी हो।
Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 अपने घर का अच्छा प्रबन्ध करता हो, और लड़के-बालों को सारी गम्भीरता से आधीन रखता हो।
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 जब कोई अपने घर ही का प्रबन्ध करना न जानता हो, तो परमेश्वर की कलीसिया की रखवाली क्योंकर करेगा?
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 फिर यह कि नया चेला न हो, ऐसा न हो, कि अभिमान करके शैतान का सा दण्ड पाए।
Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 और बाहर वालों में भी उसका सुनाम हो ऐसा न हो कि निन्दित होकर शैतान के फंदे में फंस जाए।
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 वैसे ही सेवकों को भी गम्भीर होना चाहिए, दो रंगी, पियक्कड़, और नीच कमाई के लोभी न हों।
Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 पर विश्वास के भेद को शुद्ध विवेक से सुरक्षित रखें।
Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 और ये भी पहिले परखे जाएं, तब यदि निर्दोष निकलें, तो सेवक का काम करें।
And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 इसी प्रकार से स्त्रियों को भी गम्भीर होना चाहिए; दोष लगाने वाली न हों, पर सचेत और सब बातों में विश्वास योग्य हों।
Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 सेवक एक ही पत्नी के पति हों और लड़के बालों और अपने घरों का अच्छा प्रबन्ध करना जानते हों।
Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 क्योंकि जो सेवक का काम अच्छी तरह से कर सकते हैं, वे अपने लिये अच्छा पद और उस विश्वास में, जो मसीह यीशु पर है, बड़ा हियाव प्राप्त करते हैं॥
For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 मैं तेरे पास जल्द आने की आशा रखने पर भी ये बातें तुझे इसलिये लिखता हूं।
These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 कि यदि मेरे आने में देर हो तो तू जान ले, कि परमेश्वर का घर, जो जीवते परमेश्वर की कलीसिया है, और जो सत्य का खंभा, और नेव है; उस में कैसा बर्ताव करना चाहिए।
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 और इस में सन्देह नहीं, कि भक्ति का भेद गम्भीर है; अर्थात वह जो शरीर में प्रगट हुआ, आत्मा में धर्मी ठहरा, स्वर्गदूतों को दिखाई दिया, अन्यजातियों में उसका प्रचार हुआ, जगत में उस पर विश्वास किया गया, और महिमा में ऊपर उठाया गया॥
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
