और यह कहना, यों ही बाबुल डूब जाएगा और मैं उस पर ऐसी विपत्ति डालूंगा कि वह फिर कभी न उठेगा। यों उसका सारा परिश्रम व्यर्थ ही ठहरेगा और वे थके रहेंगे। यहां तक यिर्मयाह के वचन हैं।
