Numbers 8
1 फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,
2 हारून को समझाकर यह कह, कि जब जब तू दीपकों को बारे तब तब सातों दीपक का प्रकाश दीवट के साम्हने हो।
3 निदान हारून ने वैसा ही किया, अर्थात जो आज्ञा यहोवा ने मूसा को दी थी उसी के अनुसार उसने दीपकों को बारा, कि वे दीवट के साम्हने उजियाला दे।
4 और दीवट की बनावट यह थी, अर्थात यह पाए से ले कर फूलों तक गढ़े हुए सोने का बनाया गया था; जो नमूना यहोवा ने मूसा को दिखलाया था उसी के अनुसार उसने दीवट को बनाया॥
5 फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,
6 इस्त्राएलियों के मध्य में से लेवियों को अलग ले कर शुद्ध कर।
7 उन्हें शुद्ध करने के लिये तू ऐसा कर, कि पावन करने वाला जल उन पर छिड़क दे, फिर वे सर्वांग मुण्डन कराएं, और वस्त्र धोएं, और वे अपने को स्वचछ करें।
8 तब वे तेल से सने हुए मैदे के अन्नबलि समेत एक बछड़ा ले लें, और तू पापबलि के लिये एक दूसरा बछड़ा लेना।
9 और तू लेवियों को मिलापवाले तम्बू के साम्हने समीप पहुंचाना, और इस्त्राएलियों की सारी मण्डली को इकट्ठा करना।
10 तब तू लेवियों को यहोवा के आगे समीप ले आना, और इस्त्राएली अपने अपने हाथ उन पर रखें,
11 तब हारून लेवियों को यहोवा के साम्हने इस्त्राएलियों की ओर से हिलाई हुई भेंट करके अर्पण करे, कि वे यहोवा की सेवा करने वाले ठहरें।
12 और लेवीय अपने अपने हाथ उन बछड़ों के सिरों पर रखें; तब तू लेवियों के लिये प्रायश्चित्त करने को एक बछड़ा पापबलि और दूसरा होमबलि करके यहोवा के लिये चढ़ाना।
13 और लेवियों को हारून और उसके पुत्रों के सम्मुख खड़ा करना, और उन को हिलाने की भेंट के लिये यहोवा को अपर्ण करना।
14 और उन्हें इस्त्राएलियों में से अलग करना, सो वे मेरे ही ठहरेंगे।
15 और जब तू लेवियों को शुद्ध करके हिलाई हुई भेंट के लिये अर्पण कर चुके, उसके बाद वे मिलापवाले तम्बू सम्बन्धी सेवा टहल करने के लिये अन्दर आया करें।
16 क्योंकि वे इस्त्राएलियों में से मुझे पूरी रीति से अर्पण किए हुए हैं; मैं ने उन को सब इस्त्राएलियों में से एक एक स्त्री के पहिलौठे की सन्ती अपना कर लिया है।
17 इस्त्राएलियों के पहिलौठे, चाहे मनुष्य के हों चाहे पशु के, सब मेरे हैं; क्योंकि मैं ने उन्हें उस समय अपने लिये पवित्र ठहराया जब मैं ने मिस्र देश के सब पहिलौठों को मार डाला।
18 और मैं ने इस्त्राएलियों के सब पहिलौठों के बदले लेवियों को लिया है।
19 उन्हे ले कर मैं ने हारून और उसके पुत्रों को इस्त्राएलियों में से दान करके दे दिया है, कि वे मिलापवाले तम्बू में इस्त्राएलियों के निमित्त सेवकाई और प्रायश्चित्त किया करें, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि जब इस्त्राएली पवित्रस्थान के समीप आएं तब उन पर कोई महाविपत्ति आ पड़े।
20 लेवियों के विषय यहोवा की यह आज्ञा पाकर मूसा और हारून और इस्त्राएलियों की सारी मण्डली ने उनके साथ ठीक वैसा ही किया।
21 लेवियोंने तो अपने को पाप से पावन किया, और अपने वस्त्रों को धो डाला; और हारून ने उन्हें यहोवा के साम्हने हिलाई हुई भेंट के निमित्त अर्पण किया, और उन्हें शुद्ध करने को उनके लिये प्रायश्चित्त भी किया।
22 और उसके बाद लेवीय हारून और उसके पुत्रों के साम्हने मिलापवाले तम्बू में अपनी अपनी सेवकाई करने को गए; और जो आज्ञा यहोवा ने मूसा को लेवियों के विषय में दी थी उसी के अनुसार वे उन से व्यवहार करने लगे॥
23 फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,
24 जो लेवियों को करना है वह यह है, कि पच्चीस वर्ष की अवस्था से ले कर उससे अधिक आयु में वे मिलापवाले तम्बू सम्बन्धी काम करने के लिये भीतर उपस्थित हुआ करें;
25 और जब पचास वर्ष के हों तो फिर उस सेवा के लिये न आए और न काम करें;
26 परन्तु वे अपने भाई बन्धुओं के साथ मिलापवाले तम्बू के पास रक्षा का काम किया करें, और किसी प्रकार की सेवकाई न करें। लेवियों को जो जो काम सौंपे जाएं उनके विषय तू उन से ऐसा ही करना॥
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the Lord commanded Moses.
4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the Lord had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the Lord: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the Lord for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the Lord.
12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the Lord, to make an atonement for the Levites.
13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the Lord.
14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the Lord; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2 ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 ਪਰ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਟਵਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 ਕੁਝ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ, ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
6 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਗਰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੁਕਾਉਨਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7 ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
And there they preached the gospel.
8 ਪੌਲੁਸ-ਲੁਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜਮਾਂਦਰੂ ਹੀ ਲੰਗੜਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
9 ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉੱਚੀ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਖਲੋ ਜਾ।” ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਕੁਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਚੱਲਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਲੁਕਾਉਣਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਿਲਾਉਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਦੇਵਤੇ ਮਾਨਵ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਹਨ।”
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
12 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਓਸ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ “ਹਰਮੇਸ” ਨਾਉਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਲਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ।
And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 ਦਿਓਸ ਦਾ ਮੰਦਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਕੁਝ ਬਲਦ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੁੱਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਾਟਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੌੜ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਚਿਲਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ,
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 “ਹੇ ਪੁਰੱਖੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਅਸੀਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੱਸਣ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਧਰਤੀ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 “ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਰਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚਾਹਾ।
Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੋ ਦਿਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਰੱਖਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੀ ਵਕਤ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਅਨਾਜ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।”
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕ ਸੱਕੇ।
And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕੁਨਿਯੁਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਤੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਵ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਧੂਹ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦਰਬੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਤਣਾ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਦਰਬੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਲੁਸਤ੍ਰਾ, ਇੱਕੁਨਿਯੁਮ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤੇ।
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ।”
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਲਈ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਨਾਲ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
24 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਪਿਸਿਦਿਯਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਫ਼ਲਿਯਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ।
And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪਰਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਗਏ।
And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੋਂ, ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 ਜਦੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਗੈਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ।”
And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 ਉੱਥੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨ ਰਹੇ।
And there they abode long time with the disciples.
