Jonah 3:1-9 in Hindi

1 And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.

4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

1 तब यहोवा का यह वचन दूसरी बार योना के पास पहुंचा,
And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

2 उठ कर उस बड़े नगर नीनवे को जा, और जो बात मैं तुझ से कहूंगा, उसका उस में प्रचार कर।
Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

3 तब योना यहोवा के वचन के अनुसार नीनवे को गया। नीनवे एक बहुत बड़ा नगर था, वह तीन दिन की यात्रा का था।
So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.

4 और योना ने नगर में प्रवेश कर के एक दिन की यात्रा पूरी की, और यह प्रचार करता गया, अब से चालीस दिन के बीतने पर नीनवे उलट दिया जाएगा।
And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

5 तब नीनवे के मनुष्यों ने परमेश्वर के वचन की प्रतीति की; और उपवास का प्रचार किया गया और बड़े से ले कर छोटे तक सभों ने टाट ओढ़ा।

6 तब यह समाचार नीनवे के राजा के कान में पहुंचा; और उसने सिंहासन पर से उठ, अपना राजकीय ओढ़ना उतार कर टाट ओढ़ लिया, और राख पर बैठ गया।
For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

7 और राजा ने प्रधानों से सम्मति ले कर नीनवे में इस आज्ञा का ढींढोरा पिटवाया, कि क्या मनुष्य, क्या गाय-बैल, क्या भेड़-बकरी, या और पशु, कोई कुछ भी न खाएं; वे ने खांए और न पानी पीवें।
And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

8 और मनुष्य और पशु दोनों टाट ओढ़ें, और वे परमेश्वर की दोहाई चिल्ला-चिल्ला कर दें; और अपने कुमार्ग से फिरें; और उस उपद्रव से, जो वे करते हैं, पश्चाताप करें।
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

9 सम्भव है, परमेश्वर दया करे और अपनी इच्छा बदल दे, और उसका भड़का हुआ कोप शान्त हो जाए और हम नाश होने से बच जाएं॥
Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
