याकूब 2:8
तौभी यदि तुम पवित्र शास्त्र के इस वचन के अनुसार, कि तू अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्रेम रख, सचमुच उस राज व्यवस्था को पूरी करते हो, तो अच्छा ही करते हो।

அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களை நெருப்பிலே போட்டுவிட்டது உண்மைதான்; அவைகள் தேவர்கள் அல்லவே, மனிதர்கள் கைவேலையான மரமும் கல்லும்தானே; ஆகையால் அவைகளை முற்றிலுமாக அழித்தார்கள்.

கர்த்தாவே, அந்த நாடுகளில் உள்ள தெய்வங்களை அசீரியாவின் அரசர்கள் எரித்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் அவை உண்மையான தெய்வங்கள் அல்ல. அவைகள் மனிதர்களால் செய்யப்பட்ட சிலைகள்தான். அவைகள் மரமும் கல்லும் தான். எனவேதான் அசீரியாவின் அரசர்களால் அவற்றை அழிக்க முடிந்தது.
