एस्तेर 4
1 जब मोर्दकै ने जान लिया कि क्या क्या किया गया है तब मोर्दकै वस्त्र फाड़, टाट पहिन, राख डालकर, नगर के मध्य जा कर ऊंचे और दुखभरे शब्द से चिल्लाने लगा;
2 और वह राजभवन के फाटक के साम्हने पहुंचा, परन्तु टाट पहिने हुए राजभवन के फाटक के भीतर तो किसी के जाने की आज्ञा न थी।
3 और एक एक प्रान्त में, जहां जहां राजा की आज्ञा और नियम पहुंचा, वहां वहां यहूदी बड़ा विलाप करने और उपवास करने और रोने पीटने लगे; वरन बहुतेरे टाट पहिने और राख डाले हुए पड़े रहे।
4 और एस्तेर रानी की सहेलियों और खोजों ने जा कर उसको बता दिया, तब रानी शोक से भर गई; और मोर्दकै के पास वस्त्र भेज कर यह कहलाया कि टाट उतारकर इन्हें पहिन ले, परन्तु उसने उन्हें न लिया।
5 तब एस्तेर ने राजा के खोजों में से हताक को जिसे राजा ने उसके पास रहने को ठहराया था, बुलवा कर आज्ञा दी, कि मोर्दकै के पास जा कर मालूम कर ले, कि क्या बात है और इसका क्या कारण है।
6 तब हताक नगर के उस चौक में, जो राजभवन के फाटक के साम्हने था, मोर्दकै के पास निकल गया।
7 मोर्दकै ने उसको सब कुछ बता दिया कि मेरे ऊपर क्या क्या बीता है, और हामान ने यहूदियों के नाश करने की अनुमति पाने के लिये राजभणडार में कितनी चान्दी भर देने का वचन दिया है, यह भी ठीक ठीक बतला दिया।
8 फिर यहूदियों को विनाश करने की जो आज्ञा शूशन में दी गई थी, उसकी एक नकल भी उसने हताक के हाथ में, एस्तेर को दिखाने के लिये दी, और उसे सब हाल बताने, और यह आज्ञा देने को कहा, कि भीतर राजा के पास जा कर अपने लोगों के लिये गिड़गिड़ाकर बिनती करे।
9 तब हताक ने एस्तेर के पास जा कर मोर्दकै की बातें कह सुनाईं।
10 तब एस्तेर ने हताक को मोर्दकै से यह कहने की आज्ञा दी,
11 कि राजा के सब कर्मचारियों, वरन राजा के प्रान्तों के सब लोगों को भी मालूम है, कि क्या पुरुष क्या स्त्री कोई क्यों न हो, जो आज्ञा बिना पाए भीतरी आंगन में राजा के पास जाएगा उसके मार डालने ही की आज्ञा है; केवल जिसकी ओर राजा सोने का राजदण्ड बढ़ाए वही बचता है। परन्तु मैं अब तीस दिन से राजा के पास नहीं बुलाई गई हूँ।
12 एस्तेर की ये बातें मोर्दकै को सुनाईं गई।
13 तब मोर्दकै ने एस्तेर के पास यह कहला भेजा, कि तू मन ही मन यह विचार न कर, कि मैं ही राजभवन में रहने के कारण और सब यहूदियों में से बची रहूंगी।
14 क्योंकि जो तू इस समय चुपचाप रहे, तो और किसी न किसी उपाय से यहूदियों का छुटकारा और उद्धार हो जाएगा, परन्तु तू अपने पिता के घराने समेत नाश होगी। फिर क्या जाने तुझे ऐसे ही कठिन समय के लिये राजपद मिल गया हो?
15 तब एस्तेर ने मोर्दकै के पास यह कहला भेजा,
16 कि तू जा कर शूशन के सब यहूदियों को इकट्ठा कर, और तुम सब मिलकर मेरे निमित्त उपवास करो, तीन दिन रात न तो कुछ खाओ, और न कुछ पीओ। और मैं भी अपनी सहेलियों सहित उसी रीति उपवास करूंगी। और ऐसी ही दशा में मैं नियम के विरुद्ध राजा के पास भीतर जाऊंगी; और यदि नाश हो गई तो हो गई।
17 तब मोर्दकै चला गया और एस्तेर की आज्ञा के अनुसार ही उसने किया।
1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
2 And came even before the king’s gate: for none might enter into the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth.
3 And in every province, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.
4 So Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
5 Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
6 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king’s gate.
7 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
9 And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10 Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
11 All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
12 And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.
13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
Isaiah 2 in Tamil and English
1 એક બીજો સંદેશ જેની ભવિષ્યવાણી આમોસના પુત્ર યશાયાએ યહૂદા અને યરૂશાલેમ માટે કરી, તે આ પ્રમાણે છે.
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 છેલ્લા કાળમાં, યહોવાના મંદિરનો પર્વતના શિખરો પર સ્થાપન થશે. અને બીજા બધા શિખરોથી ઉંચો જશે. દેશવિદેશનાં અસંખ્ય લોકોનો પ્રવાહ ત્યાં પગે ચાલતો આવશે.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 દરેક જણ કહેશે, “ચાલો, આપણે યહોવાના પર્વત પાસે, યાકૂબના દેવના મંદિર પાસે, ચઢી જઇએ; જેથી તે આપણને પોતાનો જીવનમાર્ગ બતાવે અને આપણે તેના માગેર્ ચાલીએ, કારણ, યહોવા નિયમશાસ્ત્ર સિયોનનગરીમાંથી અને યરૂશાલેમમાંથી પોતાનાં વચન આપનાર છે, અને તેની વાણી ત્યાંથી પ્રગટ થનાર છે.”
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 તે વિદેશીઓમાં ન્યાય કરશે. તે અસંખ્ય પ્રજાઓનો ન્યાય કરશે. ત્યારે લોકો તરવારને ટીપીને હળનાં ફળાં બનાવશે તથા ભાલાઓનાઁ દાંતરડાં બનાવશે; પ્રજાઓ એકબીજા સામે તરવાર નહિ ઉગામે કે કદી યુદ્ધની તાલીમ નહિ લે.
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 હે યાકૂબના વંશજો, ચાલો, આપણે યહોવાના પ્રકાશમાં ચાલીએ.
O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
6 હે યાકૂબના કુળો, તમે તમારા લોકોને છોડી દીધા છે. તેઓ પૂર્વ દેશોના અને પલિસ્તીના ધંતરમંતર કામણટૂમણ ને વહેમોમાં તથા વિદેશીઓના રસ્તા અને રીતરિવાજોને અનુસરે છે.
Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7 વળી તેમનો દેશ સોનાચાંદીથી ભરપૂર છે. તેમના ભંડારનો કોઇ પાર નથી. તેમનો દેશ ઘોડાઓથી ભરાઇ ગયો છે. તેમના રથોનો કોઇ પાર નથી.
Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8 તેમનો દેશ મૂર્તિઓથી ભરાઇ ગયો છે, તેઓ પોતાને હાથે ઘડેલી વસ્તુને પૂજે છે.
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9 સૌ કોઇને નીચા પાડવામાં આવશે. સૌને નીચા નમાવવામાં આવશે. તું એમને માફ કરીશ નહિ.
And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10 પોતાને યહોવાની મહાનતા અને તેમની ભવ્યતાના મહિમાંથી બચવા ખડકોમાં શરણ શોધો, જમીનમાં સંતાઇ જાઓ.
Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.
11 તે દિવસે માણસના ગર્વને નીચો નમાવવામાં આવશે. અને પુરુષોનું અભિમાન ઉતારવામાં આવશે અને ફકત યહોવાનો જ મહિમા કરવામાં આવશે.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 કારણ, સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાએ જે કઇં ગવિર્ષ્ઠ અને અભિમાની છે, જે કઇં ઊંચુ છે તે બધાને નમાવવા માટે એક દિવસ નક્કી કરેલો છે.
For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13 લબાનોનનાં ઊંચાં દેવદાર અને બાશાનનાં મજબૂત એલોનવૃક્ષોને નીચાં નમાવવામાં આવશે.
And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14 સર્વ ઊંચા ઊંચા પર્વતોને, ડુંગરોને ભોંયભેગા કરવામાં આવશે.
And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15 સર્વ ઊંચા મિનારાને અને બધા જ કિલ્લાના કોટોને ભોંયભેગા કરવામાં આવશે.
And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16 તાશીર્શનાં ભવ્ય વહાણોને ડૂબાડી દેવામાં આવશે.
And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17 તે દિવસે, માણસનો ગર્વ નીચો નમાવવામાં આવશે. અને તેનું અભિમાન ઉતારી નાખવામાં આવશે. અને માત્ર યહોવા એકલાનો જ મહિમા કરવામાં આવશે,
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
18 અને બીજી મૂર્તિઓ તો બિલકુલ સમાપ્ત થઇ જશે.
And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19 યહોવા પૃથ્વીને ધ્રુજાવવા આવે ત્યારે લોકો તેના રોષથી અને તેના પ્રતાપના તેજથી બચવા પર્વતોની ગુફાઓમાં અને જમીનની ફાંટોમાં ભરાઇ જશે.
And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20 તે દિવસે માણસ પોતે બનાવેલી સોનાચાંદીની મૂર્તિઓને ફેંકી દેશે. તેઓ એ બધી મૂર્તિઓને છછૂંદર અને ચામાચિડિયા માટે ફગાવી દેશે.
In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21 જ્યારે યહોવા પૃથ્વીને ૂજાવવા માટે આવે ત્યારે તેના રોષથી, અને તેના પ્રતાપના તેજથી બચવા લોકો પર્વતોની ફાંટોમાં અને ખડકોની તિરાડોમાં ભરાઇ જશે.
To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22 હવે માણસને ભરોસે રહેશો નહિ, કારણ એની શી વિસાત છે? જેનો શ્વાસ તેના નસકોરાંમાં જ છે.
Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
