Ecclesiastes 5 - ASV (Hindi)

1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God; for to draw nigh to hear is better than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they know not that they do evil.जब तू परमेश्वर के भवन में जाए, तब सावधानी से चलना; सुनने के लिये समीप जाना मूर्खों के बलिदान चढ़ाने से अच्छा है; क्योंकि वे नहीं जानते कि बुरा करते हैं।

2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.बातें करने में उतावली न करना, और न अपने मन से कोई बात उतावली से परमेश्वर के साम्हने निकालना, क्योंकि परमेश्वर स्वर्ग में हैं और तू पृथ्वी पर है; इसलिये तेरे वचन थोड़े ही हों॥

3 For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.क्योंकि जैसे कार्य की अधिकता के कारण स्वप्न देखा जाता है, वैसे ही बहुत सी बातों का बोलने वाला मूर्ख ठहरता है।

4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou vowest.जब तू परमेश्वर के लिये मन्नत माने, तब उसके पूरा करने में विलम्ब न करना; क्यांकि वह मूर्खों से प्रसन्न नहीं होता। जो मन्नत तू ने मानी हो उसे पूरी करना।

5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.मन्नत मान कर पूरी न करने से मन्नत का न मानना ही अच्छा है।

6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that is was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thy hands?कोई वचन कहकर अपने को पाप में ने फंसाना, और न ईश्वर के दूत के साम्हने कहना कि यह भूल से हुआ; परमेश्वर क्यों तेरा बोल सुन कर अप्रसन्न हो, और तेरे हाथ के कार्यों को नष्ट करे?

7 For in the multitude of dreams there are vanities, and in many words: but fear thou God.क्योंकि स्वप्नों की अधिकता से व्यर्थ बातों की बहुतायत होती है: परन्तु तू परमेश्वर को भय मानना॥

8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a province, marvel not at the matter: for one higher than the high regardeth; and there are higher than they.यदि तू किसी प्रान्त में निर्धनों पर अन्धेर और न्याय और धर्म को बिगड़ता देखे, तो इस से चकित न होना; क्योंकि एक अधिकारी से बड़ा दूसरा रहता है जिसे इन बातों की सुधि रहती है, और उन से भी ओर अधिक बड़े रहते हैं।

9 Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king `himself' is served by the field.भूमि की उपज सब के लिये है, वरन खेती से राजा का भी काम निकलता है।

10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance, with increase: this also is vanity.जो रूपये से प्रीति रखता है वह रूपये से तृप्त न होगा; और न जो बहुत धन से प्रीति रखता है, लाभ से: यह भी व्यर्थ है।

11 When goods increase, they are increased that eat them; and what advantage is there to the owner thereof, save the beholding `of them' with his eyes?जब सम्पत्ति बढ़ती है, तो उसके खाने वाले भी बढ़ते हैं, तब उसके स्वामी को इसे छोड़ और क्या लाभ होता है कि उस सम्पत्ति को अपनी आंखों से देखे?

12 The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much; but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.परिश्रम करने वाला चाहे थोड़ा खाए, था बहुत, तौभी उसकी नींद सुखदाई होती है; परन्तु धनी के धन के बढ़ने के कारण उसको नींद नहीं आती।

13 There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun, `namely', riches kept by the owner thereof to his hurt:मैं ने धरती पर एक बड़ी बुरी बला देखी है; अर्थात वह धन जिसे उसके मालिक ने अपनी ही हानि के लिये रखा हो,

14 and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.और वह किसी बुरे काम में उड़ जाता है; और उसके घर में बेटा उत्पन्न होता है परन्तु उसके हाथ मे कुछ नहीं रहता।

15 As he came forth from his mother's womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.जैसा वह मां के पेट से निकला वैसा ही लौट जाएगा; नंगा ही, जैसा आया था, और अपने परिश्रम के बदले कुछ भी न पाएगा जिसे वह अपने हाथ में ले जा सके।

16 And this also is a grievous evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that he laboreth for the wind?यह भी एक बड़ी बला है कि जैसा वह आया, ठीक वैसा ही वह जाएगा; उसे उस व्यर्थ परिश्रम से और क्या लाभ है?

17 All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he is sore vexed, and hath sickness and wrath.केवल इसके कि उसने जीवन भर बेचैनी से भोजन किया, और बहुत ही दु:खित और रोगी रहा और क्रोध भी करता रहा?

18 Behold, that which I have seen to be good and to be comely is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, wherein he laboreth under the sun, all the days of his life which God hath given him: for this is his portion.सुन, जो भली बात मैं ने देखी है, वरन जो उचित है, वह यह कि मनुष्य खाए और पीए और अपने परिश्रम से जो वह धरती पर करता है, अपनी सारी आयु भर जो परमेश्वर ने उसे दी है, सुखी रहे: क्योंकि उसका भाग यही है।

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor-this is the gift of God.वरन हर एक मनुष्य जिसे परमेश्वर ने धन सम्पत्ति दी हो, और उन से आनन्द भोगने और उस में से अपना भाग लेने और परिश्रम करते हुए आनन्द करने को शक्ति भी दी हो- यह परमेश्वर का वरदान है।

20 For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth `him' in the joy of his heart.इस जीवन के दिन उसे बहुत स्मरण न रहेंगे, क्योंकि परमेश्वर उसकी सुन सुनकर उसके मन को आनन्दमय रखता है॥
