परन्तु उसने उस के पास दूतों से कहला भेजा, कि हे यहूदा के राजा मेरा तुझ से क्या काम! आज मैं तुझ पर नहीं उसी कुल पर चढ़ाई कर रहा हूँ, जिसके साथ मैं युद्ध करता हूँ; फिर परमेश्वर ने मुझ से फुतीं करने को कहा है। इसलिये परमेश्वर जो मेरे संग है, उस से अलग रह, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वह तुझे नाश करे।
