1 और दाऊद वहां से चला, और अदुल्लाम की गुफा में पहुंचकर बच गया; और यह सुनकर उसके भाई, वरन उसके पिता का समस्त घराना वहां उसके पास गया।
2 और जितने संकट में पड़े थे, और जितने ऋणी थे, और जितने उदास थे, वे एक उसके पास इकट्ठे हुए; और वह उनका प्रधान हुआ। और कोई चार सौ पुरूष उसके साथ हो गए॥
3 वहां से दाऊद ने मोआब के मिसपे को जा कर मोआब के राजा से कहा, मेरे पिता को अपने पास तब तक आकर रहने दो, जब तक कि मैं न जानूं कि परमेश्वर मेरे लिये क्या करेगा।
4 और वह उन को मोआब के राजा के सम्मुख ले गया, और जब तक दाऊद उस गढ़ में रहा, तब तक वे उसके पास रहे।
5 फिर गाद नाम एक नबी ने दाऊद से कहा, इस गढ़ में मत रह; चल, यहूदा के देश में जा। और दाऊद चलकर हेरेत के बन में गया॥
1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him.
2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
