આ યહોવા મારા માલિકના વચન છે: “અંદરના ચોકનો પૂર્વનો દરવાજો કામ કરવાના છ દિવસોએ બંધ રહેશે, પરંતુ વિશ્રામવારને દિવસે અને ચંદ્રદર્શને દિવસે તેે ઉઘાડો રાખવો.

તારે તારા પોતાનાં ભોજન માંટે ખૂબ પરિશ્રમ કરવો પડશે. જયાં સુધી પરસેવો ન થાય ત્યાં સુધી તું પરિશ્રમ કરીશ. જયાં સુધી તારું મૃત્યુ ન થાય ત્યાં સુધી તું સખત પરિશ્રમ કરીશ. તે સમયે તું ફરીવાર માંટી થઈ જઈશ. જયારે મેં તને બનાવ્યો ત્યારે માંટીમાંથી જ બનાવ્યો હતો. અને જયારે તું મૃત્યુ પામીશ ત્યારે એ જ માંટીમાં પાછો મળી જઈશ.”

પછી તે મને યહોવાના મંદિરના અંદરના ચોકમાં લઇ આવ્યા. તો ત્યાં મંદિરના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ, મંદિર અને વેદીની વચ્ચે આશરે પચીસ માણસો પવિત્રસ્થાન તરફ પીઠ કરીને અને પૂર્વાભિમુખ થઇને ઊગતા સૂરજની પૂજા કરવા માટે નીચે નમતા હતા.
હઝકિયેલ 45:17
અને રાજકુમાર ઇસ્રાએલની સમગ્ર પ્રજા તરફથી મારા ધણીને ચંદ્રદર્શનોએ, સાબ્બાથોએ અને બાકીના બધા ખાસ તહેવારોએ દહનાર્પણો, ખાદ્યાર્પણો અને પેયાર્પણો પૂરા પાડશે. ઇસ્રાએલના લોકોનાં પાપના પ્રાયશ્ચિત માટે પાપાર્થાર્પણો, ખાદ્યાર્પણો, દહનાર્પણો અને શાંત્યર્પણો પૂરા પાડશે.”

ચંદ્રદર્શન દિવસે તેણે ખોડખાંપણ વગરનો એક વાછરડો, ખોડખાંપણ વગરના છ ઘેટા અને એક મેંઢો ધરાવવા.

સભાસ્થાનના આગેવાનો ગુસ્સે થયા કારણ કે વિશ્રામવારે ઈસુએ તેને સાજી કરી. આગેવાને લોકોને કહ્યું, “કામ કરવાના દિવસ 6 છે. તેથી તે દિવસોમાં કોઈ પણ દિવસે આવીને સાજા થાઓ. વિશ્રામવારના દિવસે સાજા થવા આવવું નહિ.”
