ત્યારબાદ આસાએ મંદિરના તથા રાજમહેલના ખજાનામાં બાકી રહેલું સોનું અને ચાંદી એકઠાં કરીને દમસ્કમાં રહેતા અરામના રાજા બેનહદાદને આપવા પોતાના અધિકારીઓને મોકલ્યા. બેનહદાદ ટાબ્રિમ્મોનનો પુત્ર અને હેઝયોનનો પૌત્ર હતો. અધિકારીઓ સાથે રાજાએ આ સંદેશો મોકલ્યો કે,

યહોવા આ પ્રમાણે કહે છે: “દમસ્કના લોકોએ વારંવાર પાપ કર્યા છે, અને હું તે ભૂલીશ નહિ. હું તેઓને શિક્ષા કર્યા વગર રહીશ નહિ. જેમ અનાજ ધોકાવાની લોખંડની ગાડીથી ધોકાવાય છે, તેમ ગિલયાદમાં મારા લોકોને તેઓએ માર્યા છે.

યહોવાએ ઇસ્રાએલને એક છોડાવનાર આપ્યો અને તેણે ઇસ્રાએલીઓને અરામના પંજામાંથી મુકત કર્યા અને તેઓ ફરી પોતાનાં ઘરમાં પહેલાંની જેમ સુખશાંતિમાં રહેવા લાગ્યા.

તે મિસરના દેવોનાં મંદિરોને અગ્નિથી બાળીને ભસ્મ કરશે, તે લોકોને બંદીવાન બનાવી લઇ જશે. જેમ કોઇ ભરવાડ પોતાની ચાદરમાંની જૂ વીણીને સાફ કરી નાખે છે તેમ તે મિસરને વીણીને સાફ કરી નાખશે અને વિજયી બનીને પાછો જશે.
