Hebrews 11:22
વિશ્વાસના કારણે જ યૂસફે પોતાના અંતકાળે ઇજીપ્તના ઇસ્ત્રાએલના લોકોના છૂટા પડવાની વાત કરી, અને તેના શબ વિષે સૂચનો કર્યા.

મિસર છોડયું ત્યારે ઇસ્રાએલી લોકોએ યૂસફનાં અસ્થિ સાથે લીધાં હતા. તેમણે યૂસફના અસ્થિને શેખેમમાં દફનાવ્યાં. જે ભૂમિ યાકૂબ દ્વારા હામોર કે જે શેખેમનો પિતા હતો તેની પાસેથી 100 ચાંદીના ટૂકડાની બદલીમાં ખરીદવામાં આવી હતી. અને તે જમીન યૂસફના કુટુંબને ભાગ તરીકે આપવામાં આવી હતી.

પાછળથી તેઓના શરીરોને શખેમ લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા. તેઓને કબરમાં મૂકવામાં આવ્યા. (તે એ જ કબર હતી જે ઈબ્રાહિમે હમોરના દીકરાઓ પાસેથી શખેમમાંથી ખરીદી હતી. તેણે તેઓને રૂપાનું નાણું પણ ચૂકવ્યું હતું.)
