હૂશાયએ તેઓને કહ્યું, ઉતાવળ કરો, દાઉદને શોધી કાઢો અને તેને કહો જે સ્થળો ઓળંગીને લોકો રણમાં જાય છે ત્યાં આજે રાત્રે ન રહે એને કહો તે તાત્કાલિક યર્દન નદી ઓળંગી જાય, નહિ તો રાજા અને તેના સર્વ માંણસો માંર્યા જશે.”

તેમના ગયા પછી પેલા બે માંણસોએ કૂવામાંથી બહાર નીકળી રાજા દાઉદ પાસે જઈને કહ્યું, “ઝટ કરો, આજે રાત્રે જ યર્દન નદીની પાર જતા રહો!” અહીથોફેલે દાઉદને બંદીવાન કરી તેનો સંહાર કરવા જે સલાહ આપી હતી તે તેઓ તેને કહી સંભળાવી.
