2 Kings 24:1
યહોયાકીમે રાજાના અમલ દરમ્યાન બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર યરૂશાલેમ પર ચઢી આવ્યો. યહોયાકીમ તેને તાબે થઈ ગયો. પરિણામે ત્રણ વર્ષ પર્યંત તેને વસૂલી ભરવી પડી, પણ પછી તેણે બંડ કર્યું.

યોશિયાનો પુત્ર રાજા યહોયાકીમ યહૂદિયા પર રાજ્ય કરતો હતો. તેના ચોથા વષેર્ યહૂદિયાના સર્વ લોકો માટે યહોવા તરફથી યમિર્યા પાસે આ સંદેશો આવ્યો. બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારે તે વષેર્ રાજ કરવાનું શરું કર્યું.

ચર્મિયા 25:9
તેથી હું ઉત્તરના બધા કુળસમૂહોને અને બાબિલના મારા સેવક નબૂખાદનેસ્સારને તેડાવી મંગાવીશ તેમને હું આ દેશ સામે, એના વતનીઓ સામે અને આસપાસની બધી પ્રજાઓ સામે યુદ્ધ કરવા લઇ આવીશ. હું તેમનું નિકંદન કાઢી નાખીશ અને તેમની એવી હાલત કરીશ જે જોઇને લોકો હેબતાઇ જશે. તેમની હાંસી ઉડાવશે અને હંમેશને માટે તેમની નામોશી થશે.

પછી આશ્શૂરનો રાજા સમગ્ર દેશ પર ચઢી આવ્યો, ને સમરૂન સુધી આવીને 3 વર્ષ સુધી તેને ઘેરો ઘાલ્યો.

તેણે દેવ યહોવાની ષ્ટિએ ખોટું ગણાય એવું આચરણ કર્યુ. આથી બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર તેના ઉપર ચઢી આવ્યો અને તેને સાંકળ બાંધી બાબિલ લઇ ગયો.

મિસર વિષે મિસરના રાજા ફારુનની સૈનાને બાબિલના રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારે ફ્રંાત નદીને કાંઠે આવેલા કાર્કમીશ ખાતે યહૂદિયાના રાજા યહોયાકીમના અમલના ચોથા વર્ષ દરમ્યાન હરાવી હતી તે પ્રસંગે મિસરની વિરુદ્ધ આ સંદેશો આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
