2 Kings 17:4
પણ હોશિયાએ તેને દગો આપ્યો અને મિસરના રાજા ‘સો’ને સંદેશો મોકલ્યો. અને તે ખંડણી ભરતો હતો તે પણ ભરી નહિ પાછળથી જ્યારે રાજાને આની ખબર પડી ત્યારે તેને પકડીને કેદમાં પૂર્યો.

મિસરીઓ ઉપર? મિસર તો ભાગેલા બરુ જેવું છે; જે કોઈ એનો આધાર લે છે તેમના હાથ કપાઈ જાય છે. મિસરના રાજા ફારુનનો વિશ્વાસ કે આધાર રાખી શકાય નહિ.”

તેણે રાજાના કુટુંબના એક માણસ સાથે કરાર કર્યો અને તે પાળવાનું તેની પાસે વચન લીધું.
