ત્યારે હિઝિક્યાએ યાજકોને યહોવાના મંદિરમાં કોઠારો કરાવી લેવાને ફરમાવ્યું ને તેમ કરવામાં આવ્યું.

અમારા બધાં ખેતીવાડીવાળાં ગામોમાંથી ઊપજનો દશમો ભાગ ઉઘરાવવા આવનાર લેવીઓને અમારી જમીનની ઊપજનો દશમો ભાગ આપીશું. દશમો ભાગ ઉઘરાવતી વખતે હારુનના વંશના એક યાજક લેવીઓની સાથે રહેશે, અને લેવીઓએ ઉઘરાવેલા દશમા ભાગનો દશમો ભાગ દેવના મંદિરનાં ભંડારમાં લઇ જશે અને એક ઓરડામાં મુકશે.

ટોબિયાને તે વિશાળ ઓરડી વાપરવા માટે આપી; જે ઓરડીમાં ખાદ્યાર્પણો, ધૂપ, વાસણો તથા અનાજ, નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ અને જૈતતેલના દશાંશ રાખવામાં આવતા હતા. આ વસ્તુઓ નિયમ પ્રમાણે લેવીઓ, ગવૈયાઓ તથા દ્વારપાળોને આપવામાં આવતી હતી અને આમાંની થોડી વસ્તુઓ યાજકો માટે પણ રાખવામાં આવતી હતી.

ત્યારબાદ બધા ઇસ્રાએલીઓ અનાજ, દ્રાક્ષારસ અને તેલનો દશમો ભાગ ભંડારમાં લાવવા લાગ્યા.
