Psalm 129 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 <A Song of the going up.> Great have been my troubles from the time when I was young (let Israel now say);ઇસ્રાએલને કહેવા દો, “મારી યુવાવસ્થાથી મારી પાસે ઘણાં દુશ્મનો હતાં.”

2 Great have been my troubles from the time when I was young, but my troubles have not overcome me.મારી યુવાવસ્થાથી મારી પાસે ઘણા દુશ્મનો હતા પણ તેઓ મને હરાવી ન શક્યા!

3 The ploughmen were ploughing on my back; long were the wounds they made.પીઠ પર લાંબા અને ઊંડા કાપા પડ્યા તેટલો માર્યો, હળથી ખેતરમાં ચાસ પાડ્યા હોય તેમ.

4 The Lord is true: the cords of the evil-doers are broken in two.પરંતુ યહોવા તો ન્યાયી છે, દુષ્ટ લોકોએ મને બાંધેલા દોરડાં ને (બંધનોને) તેણે કાપ્યાં છે.

5 Let all the haters of Zion be shamed and turned back.સિયોનને ધિક્કારનારા બધાં અપમાનિત થાઓ અને હારીને ભાગી જાય.

6 Let them be like the grass on the house-tops, which is dry before it comes to full growth.તેઓ છાપરા ઉપર અંકુરિત થતા ઘાસ જેવા થાઓ; જે વૃદ્ધિ પામ્યાં પહેલા સુકાઇ જાય છે.

7 He who gets in the grain has no use for it; and they do not make bands of it for the grain-stems.જેથી કાપનાર પોતાનો હાથ અને પૂળા બાંધનાર પોતાની બાથ ભરી શકતો નથી.

8 And those who go by do not say, The blessing of the Lord be on you; we give you blessing in the name of the Lord.તેઓની પાસેથી જનારા એવું કહેતા નથી કે, “યહોવાનો આશીર્વાદ તમારા પર હો! યહોવાના નામે અમે તમને આશિષ આપીએ છીએ.”
