Proverbs 6 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 My son! if thou hast been surety for thy friend, Hast stricken for a stranger thy hand,1 “મારા દીકરા, જો તું તારા પડોશીનો જામીન થયો હોય, જો તેં કોઇને બદલે પારકાને માટે કોલ આપ્યો હોય,

2 Hast been snared with sayings of thy mouth, Hast been captured with sayings of thy mouth,તો તું તારા શબ્દોથી બંધાઇ ચૂક્યો હોય, જો તું વચનોને લીધે સપડાયો હોય,

3 Do this now, my son, and be delivered, For thou hast come into the hand of thy friend. Go, trample on thyself, and strengthen thy friend,તો તારા પડોશીના હાથમાં સપડાયો છે. મારા પુત્ર, તું આટલું કરીને છૂટો થઇ જજે; તું એકદમ જા. તારા પડોશીની આગળ નમી જઇને કાલાવાલા કર.

4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, And slumber to thine eyelids,સૌથી પહેલા સૂઇશ નહિ. અને તારી પાંપણોને ઢળવા દઇશ નહિ.

5 Be delivered as a roe from the hand, And as a bird from the hand of a fowler.હરણું જેમ શિકારીના હાથમાંથી ભાગી જાય અથવા પંખી જેમ પારધી પાસેથી છૂટી જાય, તેમ તું તારી જાતને છોડાવી લેજે.

6 Go unto the ant, O slothful one, See her ways and be wise;ઓ આળસુ, કીડી પાસે જા; તે કેમ જીવે છે તે જોઇને હોશિયાર થા.

7 Which hath not captain, overseer, and ruler,તેના પર કોઇ મુકાદમ નથી, કોઇ આજ્ઞા કરનાર નથી, કે કોઇ ધણી નથી.

8 She doth prepare in summer her bread, She hath gathered in harvest her food.છતાં તે પાક વખતે પોતાનાં અનાજનો સંગ્રહ કરે છે અને કાપણીની મોસમમાં પોતાનો ખોરાક ભરી રાખે છે.

9 Till when, O slothful one, dost thou lie? When dost thou arise from thy sleep?ઓ આળસુ. તું ક્યાં સુધી પડ્યો રહીશ? તું ક્યારે ઊંઘમાંથી ઊઠીશ?

10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little clasping of the hands to rest,તું કહે છે કે “હજી થોડીક નિદ્રા, થોડીક ઊંઘ, ટૂંટિયાં વાળીને થોડોક આરામ લેવા દો.”

11 And thy poverty hath come as a traveller, And thy want as an armed man.તો તું જાણજે કે ચોરની જેમ અને હથિયારબંધ ધાડપાડુની જેમ ગરીબી તારા પર ત્રાટકશે.

12 A man of worthlessness, a man of iniquity, Walking `with' perverseness of mouth,નકામો અને દુષ્ટ માણસ ગેરમાગેર્ દોરનારી વાતો કરશે.

13 Winking with his eyes, speaking with his feet, Directing with his fingers,તે પોતાની આંખોથી મીંચકારા મારી, પગથી ધૂળમાં નિશાનીઓ કરશે અને આંગળીથી ઇશારો કરશે.

14 Frowardness `is' in his heart, devising evil at all times, Contentions he sendeth forth.તેના મનમાં કપટ છે, તે વિધ્વંસી અનિષ્ટો ઘડે છે અને હંમેશા તકરારો મોકલે છે.

15 Therefore suddenly cometh his calamity, Instantly he is broken -- and no healing.આથી અચાનક તેના પર વિપત્તિના વાદળ ઘેરાય છે. અને તે એકાએક ભાંગીને ભૂક્કા થઇ જાય છે, તે ફરી બેઠો થઇ શકતો નથી.

16 These six hath Jehovah hated, Yea, seven `are' abominations to His soul.યહોવા સખત અણગમતી સાત વસ્તુઓમાંથી છ વસ્તુને ધિક્કારે છે.

17 Eyes high -- tongues false -- And hands shedding innocent blood --તુમાખીભરી આંખો, જૂઠાબોલાની જીભ, નિદોર્ષના લોહીથી ખરડાયેલા હાથ,

18 A heart devising thoughts of vanity -- Feet hasting to run to evil --દુષ્ટ કાવતરાં રચનાર હૃદય, નુકશાન કરવા દોડી જતા પગ,

19 A false witness `who' doth breathe out lies -- And one sending forth contentions between brethren.શ્વાસેશ્વાસે જૂઠું બોલનાર જૂઠો સાક્ષી. અને રનેહી સંબંધીઓમાં કુસંપનું બીજ વાવનાર માણસ.

20 Keep, my son, the command of thy father, And leave not the law of thy mother.મારા દીકરા, તારા પિતાની આજ્ઞાઓને માનજે. અને તારી માતાની શિખામણો ભૂલીશ નહિ.

21 Bind them on thy heart continually, Tie them on thy neck.એને સદા તારા હૃદયમાં બાંધી રાખજે અને તારા કંઠની આજુબાજુ લટકાવી દેજે.

22 In thy going up and down, it leadeth thee, In thy lying down, it watcheth over thee, And thou hast awaked -- it talketh `with' thee.તું જ્યારે જ્યારે ચાલતો હોઇશ ત્યારે એ તને માર્ગ બતાવશે, તું ઊંઘતો હશે ત્યારે એ તારી ચોકી કરશે. અને તું જાગતો હશે ત્યારે એ તારી સાથે વાતચીત કરશે.

23 For a lamp `is' the command, And the law a light, And a way of life `are' reproofs of instruction,આજ્ઞા એ દીપક છે, અને નિયમ પ્રકાશ છે; અને ઠપકો તથા ચેતવણી એ જીવનના માર્ગદર્શક છે.

24 To preserve thee from an evil woman, From the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.એ તારું ભૂંડી સ્ત્રીથી રક્ષણ કરશે અને, અપવિત્ર સ્ત્રીની લોભામણી વાણીથી ઉગારી લેશે.

25 Desire not her beauty in thy heart, And let her not take thee with her eyelids.તેના રૂપ સૌંદર્યની કામના કરતો નહિ અને તેના આંખનાં પોપચાંથી સપડાઇશ નહિ.

26 For a harlot consumeth unto a cake of bread, And an adulteress the precious soul hunteth.કારણ કે વારાંગનાને તો પુરુષે રોટલાનો ટૂકડો આપવો જ પડે છે જ્યારે પરણેલી સ્ત્રીની વાસનાભૂખતો પુરુષના જીવનને લઇને સંતોષાય છે.

27 Doth a man take fire into his bosom, And are his garments not burnt?જો કોઇ માણસ અંગારા હૈયે ચાંપે તો તેનું પહેરણ સળગ્યા વગર રહે?

28 Doth a man walk on the hot coals, And are his feet not scorched?જો કોઇ માણસ અંગારા પર ચાલે તો શું તેના પગ દાઝયા વગર રહે?

29 So `is' he who hath gone in unto the wife of his neighbour, None who doth touch her is innocent.એટલે કોઇ તેના પાડોશીની પત્ની પાસે જાય છે, અને તેને સ્પર્શ કરે છે તેને સજા થયા વિના રહેતી નથી.

30 They do not despise the thief, When he stealeth to fill his soul when he is hungry,જો કોઇ માણસ ભૂખ સંતોષવા ચોરી કરે તો લોકો તેના માટે માન નથી ગુમાવી બેસતા.

31 And being found he repayeth sevenfold, All the substance of his house he giveth.પણ જો તે પકડાય છે તો તેણે તેનું સાતગણું આપવું પડે છે. એનો અર્થ એવો થાય કે પોતાના ઘરની સઘળી સંપત્તિ સોંપી દેવી પડે તો પણ.

32 He who committeth adultery `with' a woman lacketh heart, He is destroying his soul who doth it.જે પરસ્ત્રી સાથે વ્યભિચાર કરે છે તે અક્કલ વગરનો છે, તે પોતાની જાતે પોતાનું જીવન બરબાદ કરે છે.

33 A stroke and shame he doth find, And his reproach is not wiped away,તેના નસીબમાં તેને માર તથા અપમાન જ મળશે અને તેનું કલંક કદી ભૂંસાશે નહિ.

34 For jealousy `is' the fury of a man, And he doth not spare in a day of vengeance.કારણ કે ઇર્ષ્યાથી ધણીનો રોષ ભભૂકી ઊઠશે અને તે વૈર વાળતી વખતે જરાય કાચું રાખશે નહિ.

35 He accepteth not the appearance of any atonement, Yea, he doth not consent, Though thou dost multiply bribes!તે કોઇ પગાર સ્વીકારશે નહિ અને કોઇપણ પ્રકારની ભેટો તેને શાંત પાડી શકશે નહિ.
