Proverbs 23
1 જ્યારે તું કોઇ અધિકારીની સાથે ખાવા બેસે ત્યારે તું કોની સાથે બેઠો છે તે ધ્યાનમાં રાખજે.
2 અને જો તારી ભૂખ પ્રબળ હોય તો તારે ગળે છરી મૂક.
3 સ્વાદિષ્ટ વાનગીઓ માટે ઝૂરીશ નહિ, કારણ કે તે ખોરાક છેતરામણો હોય છે.
1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
