Proverbs 2 - ASV (Gujarati)

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, And lay up my commandments with thee;મારા દીકરા, જો તું મારાં વચનોનો અંગીકાર કરશે અને મારી આજ્ઞાઓ અંતરમાં સંઘરી રાખશે,

2 So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom, And apply thy heart to understanding;ડહાપણની વાત ધ્યાનથી સાંભળીને, સમજણમાં તારું ધ્યાન દોરીશ;

3 Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;અને જો તું વિવેકબુદ્ધિનેમાટે પોકાર કરશે અને સમજણ શકિત માટે ખંત રાખશે.

4 If thou seek her as silver, And search for her as for hid treasures:અને તું જો ચાંદીની જેમ અને છૂપાવેલા ખજાનાની જેમ તેને શોધશે.

5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, And find the knowledge of God.તો તને યહોવાના ભયનું ભાન થશે. અને તને દેવનું જ્ઞાન પ્રાપ્ત થશે.

6 For Jehovah giveth wisdom; Out of his mouth `cometh' knowledge and understanding:કારણ કે યહોવા જ્ઞાનના દાતા છે, તેના મુખમાંથી જ્ઞાન અને સમજણ શકિત પ્રગટે છે.

7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright; `He is' a shield to them that walk in integrity;તે નીતિમાન લોકોને વ્યવહારિક ક્ષમતા આપે છે, પ્રામાણિકતાથી રહેતા લોકોની રક્ષા કરે છે.

8 That he may guard the paths of justice, And preserve the way of his saints.તે ન્યાયના માર્ગની રક્ષા કરે છે અને પોતાના વફાદાર લોકોની કાળજી લે છે.

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice, And equity, `yea', every good path.ત્યારે તને સમજાશે કે દરેક સાચો અને સારો રસ્તો સત્ય ન્યાયી અને પ્રામાણિક હોય છે;

10 For wisdom shall enter into thy heart, And knowledge shall be pleasant unto thy soul;તારા હૃદયમાં શાણપણ પ્રવેશશે અને જ્ઞાન તારા આત્માને ખુશીથી ભરી દેશે.

11 Discretion shall watch over thee; Understanding shall keep thee:વિવેકબુદ્ધિ તારું ધ્યાન રાખશે અને સમજણ તારું રક્ષણ કરશે.

12 To deliver thee from the way of evil, From the men that speak perverse things;ખરાબ માગેર્થી અને આડું બોલનાર માણસોથી તને ઉગારી લેશે;

13 Who forsake the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;જેઓ સદાચારના માર્ગ તજીને અંધકારને માગેર્ ચાલે છે.

14 Who rejoice to do evil, And delight in the perverseness of evil;જેઓ દુષ્ટતા આચરવામાં આનંદ માણે છે, અને છળકપટ કરવામાં જ તેમને મજા પડે છે.

15 Who are crooked in their ways, And wayward in their paths:જેઓના રસ્તા આડા છે, અને જેમના પગલા છેતરામણાં છે તેમનાથી તારું રક્ષણ કરશે.

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, Even from the foreigner that flattereth with her words;વળી સમજ કે તે તને વ્યભિચારી સ્ત્રીઓથી અને તેમની લોભામણી વાણીથી બચાવશે.

17 That forsaketh the friend of her youth, And forgetteth the covenant of her God:જે પોતાના પતિને જેની સાથે જુવાનીમાં તેણે લગ્ન કરેલા તેને છોડી દે છે અને દેવ સાથે કરેલો પોતાનો કરાર વિષે ભૂલી જાય છે;

18 For her house inclineth unto death, And her paths unto the dead;તેનું ઘર મૃત્યુની ખાઇમાં ઊતરી જાય છે અને તેનો માર્ગ મૃત્યુલોકમાં જાય છે.

19 None that go unto her return again, Neither do they attain unto the paths of life:તેની પાસે જનારાઓમાંથી કોઇ પાછો ફરતો નથી, તેઓ જીવનનો માર્ગ સંપાદન કરી શકતા નથી.

20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, And keep the paths of the righteous.તું સજ્જનોના માગેર્ ચાલજે અને ન્યાય અને સત્યના રસ્તા પર ટકી રહેજે.

21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, And the perfect shall remain in it.કારણકે, પ્રામાણિક માણસો જ પૃથ્વી પર જીવતા રહેશે. સંનિષ્ઠ અને નિદોર્ષ માણસો જ એમાં વસશે.

22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, And the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.પણ દુષ્ટોનું પૃથ્વી પરથી નિકંદન નીકળી જશે. અને જેઓ કપટ કરનારા છે તેમને સમૂળગા ઉખેડી નાખવામાં આવશે.
