Proverbs 1 - KJV (Gujarati)

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;ઇસ્રાએલના રાજા દાઉદના પુત્ર સુલેમાનનાં નીતિવચનો:

2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;વ્યકિત માટે આ પુસ્તકનો હેતુ છે કે તે જ્ઞાન અને શિક્ષણ મેળવે, જેનાથી તે ઊંડી સમજ આપે તેવા શબ્દો સમજી શકે.

3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;કે તેને વિચાર પૂર્વકની વર્તણૂકની, સારા વિવેકની અને ન્યાયની કેળવણી મળે.

4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.ભોળા માણસો ચતુર બને, યુવાનોને જ્ઞાન તથા વિવેકબુદ્ધિ મળે.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:જો ડાહ્યો માણસ સાંભળશે તો તેનું ડહાપણ વધશે. અને સમજુ માણસને દોરવણી મળે.

6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.તેઓ કહેવતો અને ષ્ટાંતો જ્ઞાનીઓના વચનો અને તેમના કોયડાઓ પણ સમજી શકશે.

7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.યહોવાનો ભય એ જ્ઞાનનો આરંભ છે. પણ મૂખોર્ જ્ઞાન અને શિક્ષણને વ્યર્થ ગણે છે.

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:મારા દીકરા, તારા પિતાનો ઉપદેશ સાંભળ, અને તારી માતાનું શિક્ષણ નકારીશ નહિ.

9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.કેમ કે તારા મસ્તક પર ફૂલોના મુગટ અને ગળાના હાર રૂપ બની રહેશે.

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.મારા દીકરા, જો દુષ્ટ પાપીઓ તને લલચાવે તો તું એમની વાતો માનતો નહિ.

11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:જો તેઓ તને કહે કે “અમારી સાથે ચાલ, કોઇની હત્યા કરવા માટે આપણે સંતાઇ રહીએ; અને જે નિદોર્ષ છે તેને ફસાવવા છુપાઇ રહીએ.

12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:જેમ શેઓલ જીવતા માણસોને ગળી જાય છે તેમ આપણે તેમને ગળી જઇશું.

13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:વિવિધ પ્રકારનો કિઁમતી માલ આપણા હાથમાં આવશે, આપણે આપણાં ઘર લૂંટથી ભરીશું.

14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:તું અમારી સાથે જોડાઇ જા. અને અમારો ભાગીદારથા; આપણાં સૌનો ભાગ સિલકમાં સરખો રહેશે.

15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:મારા દીકરા, એમના માગેર્ ચાલતો નહિ, તેમના માગેર્ તારા પગ મૂકતો નહિ.

16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.કારણ, તેમના પગ દુષ્ટ પાપ કરવા ઉતાવળા હોય છે અને હત્યા કરવાને દોડી જતા હોય છે.

17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.કારણ કે જ્યારે પક્ષીઓ સાવધ હોય ત્યારે જાળ પાથરવી તે નિરર્થક છે.

18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.તેઓ અન્યની હત્યા કરવા સંતાઇ રહે છે, પણ હત્યા એમની જ થાય છે. બીજાનો જીવ લેવા જાય છે. અને પોતાનો જીવ ગુમાવે છે.

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.પ્રત્યેક ધનના લોભીના માગોર્ આવા જ છે. આવું ધન તેના માલિકોનું જ સત્યાનાશ વાળે છે.

20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:જ્ઞાન શેરીઓમાં મોટે અવાજે બોલાવે છે. તે જાહેર સ્થળોએ બૂમો પાડે છે.

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,તે ઘોંઘાટવાળા રસ્તા પર બૂમો પાડે છે અને શહેરને દરવાજે ઊભુ રહીને બૂમો પાડે છે:

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?“હે ભોળિયાઓ, તમે ક્યાં સુધી ભોળપણને વળગી રહેશો? ઓ ટિખળી લોકો, તમે ક્યાં સુધી ટિખળ કરવામાં આનંદ મેળવશો? ઓ મૂર્ખાઓ, ક્યાં સુધી તમે જ્ઞાનનો તિરસ્કાર કરશો?

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.જો તમે મારી ચેતવણી સાંભળશો તો હું મારો આત્મા તમારા પર રેડીશ અને મારા વચનો તમને જણાવીશ.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;પરંતુ મેં તમને બોલાવ્યા અને તમે ના પાડી. મેં મારો હાથ લંબાવી ઇશારો કર્યો પણ કોઇએ તેની કાળજી કરી નહિ;

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:તમે મારા સવેર્ ઉપદેશ ફગાવી દીધા છે અને મારી ચેતવણીને પણ ગણકારી નથી.

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;તેથી જ્યારે તમારી ઉપર મુશ્કેલીઓ આવશે ત્યારે હું હાસ્ય કરીશ; જ્યારે તમારા પર ભય આવશે ત્યારે હું તમારી મશ્કરી કરીશ.

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.એટલે જ્યારે વંટોળિયાની જેમ તમારી ઉપર ભય ફરી વળશેે, વિપત્તિઓ ફૂટી નીકળશે, સંકટ અને વેદના તમારા પર આવશે.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:“ત્યારે તેઓ મને બોલાવશે તો પણ હું ઉત્તર આપીશ નહિ, તમે મને ખંતથી શોધશો પણ હું તમને મળીશ નહિ.

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:કારણ, તેઓએ વિદ્યાનો તિરસ્કાર કર્યો છે અને તેમણે યહોવાનો ડર રાખ્યો નથી.

30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.મારી સલાહ માની નહોતી અને તેઓએ મારો સઘળો ઠપકો તુચ્છ ગણ્યો.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.તેથી તેઓને તેમના કર્મના ફળ મળશે અને તેમને તેમની પોતાની સલાહો ભારે પડશે.

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.“આમ, મૂખોર્ના અવળા રસ્તા તેમને મૃત્યુના મુખમાં લઇ જાય છે. અને મૂખોર્ની બેદરકારી તેમનો વિનાશ નોઁતરે છે.

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.પરંતુ જે કોઇ મારું કહ્યુ સાંભળશે તે સુરક્ષિત રહેશે. અને કોઇપણ જાતના નુકશાન થવાના ભય વિના શાંતિ અનુભવશે.”
