2 Corinthians 9:12
આ પવિત્ર સેવા કે જે તમે કરો છો તે માત્ર દેવના લોકોની જરૂરિયાતમાં મદદ કરે છે. એમ નહિ પરંતુ દેવની સ્તુતિરૂપી પુષ્કળ ફળ પણ ઉત્પન્ન કરે છે.

અત્યારે તમારી પાસે ઘણું છે. તમારી પાસે જે છે તે લોકોને જે વસ્તુની જરૂર છે તેઓને તે ઘણું મદદરૂપ થઈ શકે તેમ છે. ત્યાર બાદ, જ્યારે તેઓની પાસે પુષ્કળ હશે ત્યારે તેઓ તમારે જોઈતી વસ્તુ પ્રાપ્ત કરવામાં તમને મદદરૂપ થઈ શકે. અને ત્યાર પછી સમાનતા આવશે.

હવે દેવના લોકોની સેવા કરવા વિષે મારે તમને લખવાની જરૂર નથી.
ફિલિપ્પીઓને પત્ર 2:25
એપાફ્રદિતસ ખ્રિસ્તમાં મારો ભાઈ છે. ખ્રિસ્તની સેનામાં તે મારી સાથે સહયોદ્ધો અને મદદગાર છે. જ્યારે મારે મદદની જરૂર હતી ત્યારે તમે તેને મારી પાસે મોકલ્યો.
ફિલિપ્પીઓને પત્ર 4:18
મારી પાસે જરૂર કરતાં પણ વધારે છે. મારે જરૂરી બધી વસ્તુઓ છે કારણ કે એપાફદિતસ તમે આપેલ દાન લાવ્યો હતો. તમારું દાન દેવને ઘરેલું મધુર મહેકતા અર્પણ જેવું છે. દેવે તે અર્પણ સ્વીકાર્યુ અને પ્રસન્ન થયો.

મારી પ્રાર્થનાઓમાં હું તને યાદ કરું છું. અને તારા માટે હું હંમેશા મારા દેવની આભારસ્તુતિ કરું છું.

મારા વહાલા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો, કોઈ કહે કે તેને વિશ્વાસ છે, પણ તે પ્રમાણે વર્તનમાં ન મૂકે, તો શો ફાયદો? શું એવો વિશ્વાસ તેનો ઉદ્ધાર કરી શકે? ના!
1 યોહાનનો પત્ર 3:17
ધારો કે એક વિશ્વાસી કે જે ખૂબ ધનવાન હોવાથી તેની પાસે જરુંરી બધી જ વસ્તુઓ હોય છે. તે ખ્રિસ્તમાં તેના ભાઈને જુએ છે જે ગરીબ છે અને તેની જરુંરી વસ્તુઓ તેની પાસે નથી. તો પછી જો વિશ્વાસી પાસે વસ્તુઓ હોય અને ગરીબ ને મદદ ન કરે તો શું? પછી જે વિશ્વાસી પાસે જરુંરી વસ્તુઓ છે પરંતુ તેના હૃદયમાં દેવની પ્રીતિ હોતી નથી.
