પાસ્ખા પર્વની રાત્રિ પછીના દિવસે એટલે પહેલા મહિનાના 15 માં દિવસે તેઓ મિસરના રામસેસ નગરથી નીકળ્યા. મિસરવાસીઓના દેખતાં તેઓ યહોવાના રક્ષણ હેઠળ ઉઘાડે છોગે નીકળ્યા હતા.
