પેઓરમાં તેમણે મિદ્યાની સ્ત્રીઓ દ્વારા તને ખેલ કરાવી, તમને મિથ્યા દેવ બઆલની પૂજા કરતા કર્યા, મિદ્યાની આગેવાનની પુત્રી કોઝબી નામની સ્ત્રી દ્વારા તેઓએ તમને ફસાવ્યાં. પછી મૂર્તિપૂજાને કારણે ઇસ્રાએલીઓ એક રોગથી મૃત્યુ પામ્યા. તેથી તેઓ તમાંરા દુશ્મનો છે.”

તે ખોટા ઉપદેશકો અર્થહીન શબ્દોની બડાશો મારે છે. તેઓ લોકોને પાપના છટકામાં દોરી જાય છે. તેઓે ખોટા રસ્તે જીવતા લોકોથી દૂર થવાની શરૂઆત કરતાં હોય તેઓને દોરે છે. તે ખોટા ઉપદેશકો લોકોને પાપ કરવા ઈચ્છતા હોય તેવા દૈહિક વિષયોથી તથા ભ્રષ્ટાચારથી મોહ પમાડે છે.
