Numbers 20 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 And the sons of Israel come in, -- all the company -- to the wilderness of Zin, in the first month, and the people abide in Kadesh, and Miriam dieth there, and is buried there.પહેલા મહિનામાં બધાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓ સીનના અરણ્યમાં આવ્યાં અને કાદેશમાં પડાવ નાખ્યો. ત્યાં મરિયમનું અવસાન થતાં તેને દફનાવવામાં આવી.

2 And there hath been no water for the company, and they are assembled against Moses, and against Aaron,તે સ્થળે સમાંજ માંટે પૂરતું પાણી નહોતું તેથી બધા લોકો મૂસાની અને હારુનની વિરુદ્ધ ટોળે વળીને કચકચ કરવા લાગ્યા.

3 and the people strive with Moses, and speak, saying, `And oh that we had expired when our brethren expired before Jehovah!એ લોકો મૂસા સાથે ઝઘડવા લાગ્યા, “યહોવાની સામે જ અમાંરા ભાઈઓ મૃત્યુ પામ્યા ત્યારે જ અમે પણ મરી ગયા હોત તો સારૂ થાત.

4 and why have ye brought in the assembly of Jehovah unto this wilderness to die there, we and our beasts?તું યહોવાના સમાંજને ઈરાદાપૂર્વક આ અરણ્યમાં લાવ્યો છે, અમે અને અમાંરા ઘેટાંબકરાં તથા ઢોરઢાંખર અહીં મરી જઈએ એટલા માંટે તું લઈ આવ્યો છે?

5 and why hast thou brought us up out of Egypt to bring us in unto this evil place? no place of seed, and fig, and vine, and pomegranate; and water there is none to drink.તું શા માંટે અમને મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઈ આવ્યો? શા માંટે તું અમને આ ખરાબ જગ્યાએ લઈ આવ્યો? આ જગ્યાએ નથી અનાજ કે અંજીર કે દ્રાક્ષ કે દાડમ. અહી તો પીવાનું પાણી પણ નથી.”

6 And Moses and Aaron go in from the presence of the assembly unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and fall on their faces, and the honour of Jehovah is seen by them.મૂસા અને હારુન તેઓ પાસેથી મુલાકાત મંડપના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ ગયા. તેમણે ભૂમિ પર પડીને સાષ્ટાંગ નમસ્કાર કર્યા. અને યહોવાના ગૌરવે તેમને દર્શન દીધાં.

7 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું,

8 `Take the rod, and assemble the company, thou and Aaron thy brother; and ye have spoken unto the rock before their eyes, and it hath given its water, and thou hast brought out to them water from the rock, and hast watered the company, and their beasts.'“તું કરારકોશ પાસે પડેલી લાકડી લે, અને પછી તારા ભાઈ હારુન સાથે સમગ્ર સમાંજને ભેગો કર અને સૌના દેખતા ખડકને કહે કે તે પોતાનું પાણી આપે! આમ તું કહીશ એટલે એમાંથી તેઓને અને તેઓનાં પશુઓને પીવા માંટે પાણી પુષ્કળ પ્રમાંણમાં નીકળશે.”

9 And Moses taketh the rod from before Jehovah, as He hath commanded him,યહોવાએ આજ્ઞા કરી તે પ્રમાંણે મૂસાએ યહોવા સમક્ષ મૂકેલી લાકડી લીધી.

10 and Moses and Aaron assemble the assembly unto the front of the rock, and he saith to them, `Hear, I pray you, O rebels, from this rock do we bring out to you water?'પછી મૂસાએ અને હારુને સમગ્ર સમાંજને ખડક આગળ ભેગો કર્યો અને તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું, “ઓ બંડખોરો, સાંભળો, અમે શું આ ખડકમાંથી તમાંરા માંટે પાણી કાઢીએ?”

11 and Moses lifteth up his hand, and smiteth the rock with his rod twice; and much water cometh out, and the company drink, also their beasts.પછી મૂસાએ હાથ ઊચો કરીને લાકડી બે વખત ખડક પર પછાડી એટલે ખડકમાંથી પુષ્કળ પાણી ધસારા સાથે બહાર નીકળ્યું. તે સૌએ તથા પશુઓએ ધરાઈને પીધું.

12 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, and unto Aaron, `Because ye have not believed in Me to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore ye do not bring in this assembly unto the land which I have given to them.'પણ યહોવાએ મૂસાને અને હારુનને કહ્યું, “બધા ઇસ્રાએલીઓ સમક્ષ તમે તમાંરું માંરા પ્રત્યે સન્માંન બતાવ્યું નહિ. તમે તેઓને બતાવ્યું નહિ કે પાણી કાઢવાની શક્તિ માંરામાંથી આવી હતી તેઓને તમે બતાવ્યું નહિ કે તમે માંરામાં વિશ્વાસ કર્યો હતો તેથી મેં તેઓને જે ભૂમિ આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું હતું ત્યાં તમે તે લોકોને લઈ જશો નહિ.”

13 These `are' waters of Meribah, because the sons of Israel have `striven' with Jehovah, and He is sanctified upon them.આ સ્થળનું નામ ‘મરીબાહ’ નું પાણી એટલે ‘તકરારનું પાણી’ પાડવામાં આવ્યું કારણ કે, ‘મરીબાહ’ ના ઝરા આગળ આ બન્યું હતું. જયાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ યહોવા વિરુદ્ધ ઝઘડો કર્યો હતો અને જયાં યહોવાએ તેમને પરચો બતાવ્યો હતો.

14 And Moses sendeth messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, `Thus said thy brother Israel, Thou -- thou hast known all the travail which hath found us;કાદેશથી મૂસાએ આ સંદેશા સાથે સંદેશવાહકો એદોમના રાજાને મોકલ્યા, “આ સંદેશો તમાંરા ઇસ્રાએલી ભાઈઓ તરફથી છે. અમાંરે કેવી હાડમાંરી સહન કરવી પડી છે એ તમે જાણો છો.

15 that our fathers go down to Egypt, and we dwell in Egypt many days, and the Egyptians do evil to us and to our fathers;અમાંરા પિતૃઓ મિસર ગયા હતા અને ત્યાં અમે લાંબો સમય રહ્યાં હતાં પરિણામે તેઓ મિસરવાસીઓના ગુલામો બન્યા.

16 and we cry unto Jehovah, and He heareth our voice, and sendeth a messenger, and is bringing us out of Egypt; and lo, we `are' in Kadesh, a city `in' the extremity of thy border.પરંતુ અમે યહોવાને પોકારીને કહ્યું ત્યારે તેમએ અમાંરો પોકાર સાંભળીને એક દેવદૂતને મોકલી આપ્યો, જે અમને મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઈ આવ્યો.“અત્યારે અમે તમાંરી સરહદે આવેલા કાદેશમાં છાવણી કરી છે.

17 Let us pass over, we pray thee, through thy land; we pass not over through a field, or through a vineyard, nor do we drink waters of a well; the way of the king we go, we turn not aside -- right or left -- till that we pass over thy border.'કૃપા કરીને અમને તમાંરા દેશમાં થઈને જવાની રજા આપો. અમે તમાંરા ખેતરમાંથી કે દ્રાક્ષનીવાડીઓમાંથી પસાર થઈશું નહિ, કે તમાંરા કૂવાનું પાણી પણ પીશું નહિ, અમે આમ કે તેમ વાંકાચૂકા ગયા વિના રાજમાંર્ગે તમાંરો દેશ વટાવી જઈશું.”

18 And Edom saith unto him, `Thou dost not pass over through me, lest with sword I come out to meet thee.'પરંતુ અદોમના રાજાઓ કહ્યું, “તમાંરે અમાંરા દેશમાં થઈને જવાનું નથી. જો તમે ગયા તો અમે તરવાર લઈને સામાં થઈશું.”

19 And the sons of Israel say unto him, `In the highway we go, and if of thy waters we drink -- I and my cattle -- then I have given their price; only (it is nothing) on my feet I pass over.'ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ કહ્યું, “અમે રાજમાંર્ગ થઈને ચાલ્યા જઈશું. જો અમે અને અમાંરાં પશુઓ તમાંરું પાણી પીશું તો અમે તેની રકમ ચૂકવીશું. અમે ફકત તમાંરા દેશમાં થઈને પગપાળા જવાની રજા માંગીએ છીએ.”

20 And he saith, `Thou dost not pass over;' and Edom cometh out to meet him with much people, and with a strong hand;છતાં અદોમના રાજાએ ચેતવણી આપીને કહ્યું, “નહિ, તમાંરે જવાનું નથી. માંરા દેશની બહાર રહો.”પછી પોતાનું સૈન્ય એકત્ર કરીને પૂરી તાકાતથી તેમની સામે લડવા માંટે ઘસી આવ્યો.

21 and Edom refuseth to suffer Israel to pass over through his border, and Israel turneth aside from off him.અદોમીઓએ ઇસ્રાએલીઓને પોતાના દેશમાં થઈને જવા દેવાની ના પાડી એટલે ઇસ્રાએલીઓ ફરીને બીજે રસ્તે ગયો.

22 And the sons of Israel, the whole company, journey from Kadesh, and come in unto mount Hor,ઇસ્રાએલીઓનો આખો સમાંજ કાદેશથી નીકળીને અદોમની સરહદે આવેલા હોર પર્વત પાસે આવ્યો.

23 and Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron in mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom, saying,ત્યાં યહોવાએ મૂસાને અને હારુનને કહ્યુ,

24 `Aaron is gathered unto his people, for he doth not go in unto the land which I have given to the sons of Israel, because that ye provoked My mouth at the waters of Meribah.“હારુન પિતૃલોક ભેગો થનાર છે. મેં ઇસ્રાએલીઓને જે ભૂમિ આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું છે તેમાં એ દાખલ થઈ શકશે નહિ, કારણ કે, મરીબાહના ઝરણા આગળ તમે માંરી આજ્ઞાનું ઉલ્લંઘન કર્યુ હતું.

25 `Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and cause them to go up mount Hor,“હારુન અને તેના પુત્ર એલઆઝારને લઈને તું હોર પર્વત ઉપર જા.

26 and strip Aaron of his garments, and thou hast clothed `with' them Eleazar his son, and Aaron is gathered, and doth die there.'ત્યાં તું હારુનના યાજક તરીકેનાં વસ્ત્રો ઉતારી લઈને તેના પુત્ર એલઆજારને એ પહેરાવજે. હારુન ત્યાં અવસાન પામશે.”

27 And Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded, and they go up unto mount Hor before the eyes of all the company,મૂસાએ યહોવાના કહ્યા પ્રમાંણે કર્યું. સમગ્ર સમાંજના દેખતાં જ તે લોકો હોર પર્વત પર ગયા.

28 and Moses strippeth Aaron of his garments, and clotheth with them Eleazar his son, and Aaron dieth there on the top of the mount; and Moses cometh down -- Eleazar also -- from the mount,જયારે પર્વતના શિખર પર પહોંચ્યા ત્યારે મૂસાએ હારુનના યાજક તરીકેના વસ્ત્રો ઉતારી લઈને તેના પુત્ર એલઆઝારને પહેરાવ્યાં. ત્યાં પર્વતના શિખર પર હારુનનું મૃત્યુ થયું, પછી મૂસા અને એલઆઝાર પાછા ફર્યા.

29 and all the company see that Aaron hath expired, and they bewail Aaron thirty days -- all the house of Israel.સમગ્ર સમાંજને ખબર પડી કે હારુનું મૃત્યુ થઈ ગયું છે, ત્યારે બધા ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ ત્રીસ દિવસ સુધી તેને માંટે શોક પાળ્યો.
