દ્વારપાળ આક્કૂબ, ટાલ્મોન તથા તેનાં સગાંઓ, જે દરવાજાની રખેવાળી કરતા હતા, તેઓ 172 હતા.

| Talmon, | טַלְמ֔וֹן | ṭalmôn | tahl-MONE |
| and their brethren | וַֽאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם | waʾăḥêhem | va-uh-hay-HEM |
| kept that | הַשֹּֽׁמְרִ֣ים | haššōmĕrîm | ha-shoh-meh-REEM |
| the gates, | בַּשְּׁעָרִ֑ים | baššĕʿārîm | ba-sheh-ah-REEM |
| were an hundred | מֵאָ֖ה | mēʾâ | may-AH |
| seventy | שִׁבְעִ֥ים | šibʿîm | sheev-EEM |
| and two. | וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃ | ûšĕnāyim | oo-sheh-NA-yeem |
