Psalm 22

1 હે મારા દેવ, તમે મને કેમ તજી દીધો છે? મારા દેવ, તમે શા માટે સહાય કરવાની ના પાડો છો? શા માટે મારો વિલાપ સાંભળતાં નથી?

2 હે મારા દેવ, દિવસ દરમ્યાન હું રૂદન કરૂં છું અને તમને પ્રાર્થના કરું છું, પરંતુ તમે મારી પ્રાર્થનાનો જવાબ દેતા નથી. હું તમને આખી રાત દરમ્યાન સતત બોલાવું છું.

3 દેવ, તમે પવિત્ર છો. તમે ઇસ્રાએલના સ્તોત્ર પર બિરાજો છો.

4 અમારા પૂર્વજોએ તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખ્યો હતો. અને તેઓએ ભરોસો રાખ્યો હોવાથી તમે તેઓને છોડાવ્યા.

5 જ્યારે તેઓએ તમને પ્રાર્થના કરી, તમે તેમને મદદ કરી અને તેમને બચાવ્યાં. તેઓએ તમારામાં વિશ્વાસ રાખ્યો અને તેઓ નિરાશ થયા નહોતા.

6 હું માણસ નથી પણ માત્ર કીડો છુ. સમગ્ર માનવ જાત મારો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે. અને મને તુચ્છ ગણે છે.

7 જેઓ મને જુએ છે તેઓ બધા મારી હાંસી કરે છે. અને તેઓ મો મરડી-ડોકું ધુણાવી ને કડવી વાણી બોલે છે.

8 તેઓ મારી મશ્કરી કરતાં કહે છે, “તે જરૂર તને ઉગારશે કારણ તે તને ખૂબ પસંદ કરે છે.”

9 હે યહોવા, અગાઉ તમે મને કેવી મદદ કરી હતી. તમે મને માતાના ઉદરમાંથી સુરક્ષિત બહાર લાવ્યાં હતા. હું જ્યારે મારી માતાને ધાવતો હતો ત્યારે પણ તમે મારી સંભાળ લઇને વિશ્વાસ જગાવ્યો હતો.

10 હું જન્મથી જ તમારા હાથમાં સોંપાયેલો છું. મારા બાળપણથી જ તમે મારા દેવ છો.

11 તમે મારાથી જરાય આઘા ખસશો નહિ કારણ મારા માથે સંકટ આવ્યુ છે. અને મને સહાય કરે તેવું મારી સાથે કોઇ નથી.

12 ઘણા ભયંકર શત્રુઓએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે. બાશાનના આખલા, મારી ચારેબાજુએ ફરી વળ્યા છે.

13 જેમ ફાડી ખાનાર તથા ગર્જના કરતો સિંહ પોતાના શિકાર પર આક્રમણ કરે છે, તેમ તેઓ પોતાના મોં ખુલ્લા રાખીને મારી તરફ ધસી આવે છે.

14 જેમ પાણી વહી જાય તેમ, મારી શકિત પણ ચાલી ગઇ છે. જેમ સાંધામાંથી હાડકાં ઢીલાઁ થઇ છૂટા પડી જાય છે, તેમ મારંુ હૃદય પણ મીણનાં જેવું પોચું થઇ મારાં આંતરડામાં ઓગળી ગયું છે.

15 મારું બળ માટીનાં વાસણના એક તુટેલા ટુકડંા જેવુ સુકંુ થઇ ગયું છે; મારી જીભ મારા મુખના તાળવે ચોંટી જાય છે; અને મને ધૂળભરી મૃત્યુશૈયા ઉપર નાખી દેવામા આવ્યો છે.

16 કારણ, મારી આસપાસ કૂતરાં ફરી વળ્યા છે; અને મને દુષ્ટોની ટોળીએ ઘેરી લીધો છે અને તેઓએ મારા હાથપગ વીંધી નાખ્યા છે.

17 હું મારા શરીરનાં સર્વ હાડકાં ગણી શકું છું. આ માણસો કેટલા દુષ્ટ અને ક્રૂર છે! તેઓ ધારી ધારી ને કેવા જુએ છે!

18 તેઓ મારા વસ્રો અંદરો અંદર વહેંચી લે છે અને મારા ઝભ્ભા માટે અંદરો અંદર ચિઠ્ઠી નાખે છે.

19 હે યહોવા, મારાથી દૂર ન જશો . હે દેવ! હે મારા આશ્રય; મારા સાર્મથ્ય, મારી મદદે આવો.

20 મને આ તરવારથી બચાવો, મારી રક્ષા કરી મારું મૂલ્યવાન જીવન પેલાં કૂતરાઓથી બચાવો.

21 મને સિંહોના જડબામાંથી બચાવો. તે બળદોના શિંગડાઓથી મારું રક્ષણ કરો.

22 હું તમારા વિષે મારા બધા ભાઇઓને વાત કરીશ. હું ભરી સભામાં તમે કરેલી અદભૂત વસ્તુઓ વિષે વાત કરીશ.”

23 હે યહોવાનો ભય રાખનારાઓ, તેમના ગુણગાન ગાઓ. તમે બધા યાકૂબના વંશજો, તેને માન આપો. હે ઇસ્રાએલી પરિવારો, તેમનો ભય રાખો.

24 તે ગરીબને જ્યારે મુસીબતો હોય ત્યારે કદી એમની અવગણના નથી કરતા. તેઓ કદી તેમનું મુખ એમનાથી છુપાવતા નથી. તેઓ મદદ માટે તેમને પોકાર કરે છે ત્યારે તેઓ તેમને સાંભળે છે.

25 હું તમારી કૃપાથી મોટી મંડળીમાં તમારી સ્તુતિ કરું છું; સર્વ ભય રાખનારાઓની સામે, હા, હું મારી માનતા પૂરી કરીશ.

26 દરિદ્રીજનો ખાઇને તૃપ્ત થશે, જેઓ યહોવાને શોધે છે, તેઓ તેમની કૃપા પ્રાપ્ત કરશે, અને તેઓ હર્ષનાદ અને અવિનાશી આનંદથી તેમની સ્તુતિ કરશે.

27 ભલે દૂર દેશના લોકો યહોવાનું સ્મરણ કરે અને તેમની પાસે પાછા ફરે. ભલે રાષ્ટોના બધા કુટુંબો નીચે નમીને યહોવાની ઉપાસના કરે.

28 કારણ, યહોવા રાજા છે, અને તે સર્વ પ્રજા ઉપર રાજ કરે છે.

29 બધા લોકો, જેઓ મજબૂત અને તંદુરસ્ત છે તેઓએ ખાધું છે અને યહોવા સમક્ષ નીચે નમ્યા છે - હા, એ બધાં જેઓ મૃત્યુ પામવાની તૈયારીમાં છે અને તે પણ લોકો જેઓ અત્યાર સુધીમાં મરણ પામ્યા છે તે બધાં યહોવાની સામે નીચા નમશે.

30 યહોવાનાં અદ્ભુત કમોર્ વિષે આવતી પેઢી પણ સાંભળશે, અને આપણાં સર્વ સંતાનો પણ તેમની સેવા કરશે.

31 આવનાર પેઢીઓ જે જન્મી નથી તેઓને પણ તેમનાં સર્વ ચમત્કાર વિષે પ્રગટ કરીને કહેશે. અને તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું પ્રગટ થશે.

2 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

3 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

4 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

5 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

6 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

7 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

8 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

9 He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

10 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

11 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

12 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

13 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

14 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

15 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

16 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

17 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

18 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

19 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

20 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

21 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

22 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

23 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

24 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

25 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

26 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

27 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

28 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

29 For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

30 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

31 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

32 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
