તેઓ યોસાદાકના પુત્ર યેશૂઆના પુત્ર યોયાકીમના સમયમાં તેમજ પ્રશાશક નહેમ્યાના સમયમાં તથા એઝરા યાજક જે લહિયો હતો તેના સમયમાં હતા.

એઝરા બાબિલથી આવ્યો, તે એક મહાન શિક્ષક હતો. જે ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવાએ આપેલા મૂસાના નિયમશાસ્ત્રમાં ઘણો નિપૂણ હતો. તેના પર યહોવાની કૃપા હતી તેથી રાજાએ તેની સર્વ અરજ મંજૂર રાખી.
