Isaiah 59:11
આપણે બધા રીંછની જેમ ઘૂરકીએ છીએ, ને હોલાની જેમ કણીએ છીએ. આપણે ન્યાયને ઝંખીએ છીએ, પણ ન્યાય મળતો નથી, તારણની આશા રાખીએ છીએ, પણ તે અમારાથી દૂર રહે છે.

યશાયા 51:20
કારણ કે તારા પુત્રો મૂછિર્ત થઇને શેરીઓમાં પડ્યા છે. તેઓ જાળમાં ફસાયેલા હરણાંની જેમ લાચાર થયેલા છે. તારા દેવનો પુણ્યપ્રકોપ તેમના પર પૂરેપૂરો ઊતર્યો છે.
