Isaiah 33:1
અફસોસ છે તને! તું અલબત્ત, બીજાને લૂંટે છે, પણ તું લૂંટાયો નથી! તું દગાબાજી કરે છે ખરો, પણ તારી સાથે કોઇએ દગાબાજી કરી નથી! પણ જ્યારે તારી ખરાબીઓ પૂરી થશે, ત્યારે તું ખરેખર લૂંટાશે; જ્યારે તું તારી દગાબાજીનો અંત લાવીશ ત્યારે ખરેખર તારી સાથે દગાબાજી થશે.

પૃથ્વીના બધા છેડેથી આપણે “ન્યાયીનો મહિમા થાઓ” તેમ સાંભળીશું પણ અફસોસ! “હું તો ક્ષીણ થતો જઉં છું, મારા માટે કોઇ આશા નથી. દગાબાજી કરનારા દગાબાજી કરે જાય છે અને દિવસે દિવસે તેઓની દગાબાજીમાં વધારો થતો જાય છે.
યશાયા 17:14
જુઓ, સવાર થતા પહેલાં તેઓ નષ્ટ થશે; જોકે સંધ્યાકાળે તો તેઓ કેર વર્તાવતા હતા! આ છે આપણને લૂંટનારાઓનું ભાગ્ય. અને અમારી ધનસંપત્તિનું હરણ કરનારની દશા.

પણ સિયોન પર્વત પર અને યરૂશાલેમમાં પોતાનું કામ પતાવ્યા પછી યહોવા આશ્શૂરના રાજાને તેની ઉદ્ધત બડાશો માટે અને તેના તુમાખીભર્યા અભિમાન માટે સજા કરશે.

જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ બીજાને બંદીવાન કરવા જાય છે, તો તે વ્યક્તિ પોતે જ બંદીવાન થશે. જો કોઈ બીજાને તલવારથી મારી નાખવા માટે જાય છે તો તેને પોતાને તલવારથી માર્યા જવું પડશે. આનો અર્થ એ છે કે સંતો પાસે ધીરજ અને અવિશ્વાસ હોવા જોઈએ.

અદોનીબેઝેકે કહ્યું, “મેં આ જ રીતે 70 રાજાઓના હાથપગના અંગૂઠા કાપી નાખ્યા હતાં, ને તે બધા રાજાઓ માંરા ભાણામાંથી મેજ નીચે પડેલા ટુકડાઓ વીણી ખાતા હતા. તેવા જ હાલ દેવે માંરા કર્યા.” તેઓ તેને યરૂશાલેમ લઈ ગયા અને ત્યાં જ તેનું અવસાન થયું.
