Deuteronomy 28:25
“યહોવા તમાંરા દુશ્મનોથી તમાંરો પરાજય કરાવડાવશે. તમે એક દિશામાંથી તેમના ઉપર હુમલો કરશો પરંતુ તમે તેમનાથી સાત જુદી દિશાઓમાં ભારે ગુંચવાઇને ભાગી જશો. સમગ્ર પૃથ્વીનાં રાજયો તમાંરી દશા જોઈને ભયભીત થઇ જશે.

“યહોવા તમાંરા ઉપર હુમલો કરવા આવનાર દુશ્મનોને પરાજીત કરશે; તેઓ ભેગા મળીને તમાંરી સામે એક દિશામાંથી આવશે તો પણ તમાંરી આગળથી સાત દિશાઓમાં ભાગી જશે.
પુનર્નિયમ 32:30
એક માંણસ કહો શી રીતે હજારને હરાવે? 10,000 ને બે માંણસ કહો શી રીતે નસાડે? સિવાય કે ખડક સમાં યહોવાએ તેમને તજયા હોય; કે પછી તે સૌને દુશ્મનોના હાથમાં સોંપ્યા હોય.

કેટલાએક લોકો સૈનિકો દ્ધારા મૃત્યુ પામશે. બીજા લોકોને કેદી તરીકે રાખશે અને બધાજ દેશોમાં લઈ જવાશે. ફક્ત યરૂશાલેમ તેઓનો સમય પૂરો નહિ થાય ત્યાં સુધી બિન યબૂદિઓથી પગ તળે ખૂંદી નંખાશે.

“‘તમે મારું સાંભળ્યું નથી અને ગુલામોને મુકત કર્યા નથી. તેથી હું તમને યુદ્ધ, દુકાળ અને મરકી, તરવાર, રોગચાળો દ્વારા મૃત્યુને હવાલે કરીશ. બીજા શહેરના લોકો જ્યારે તારી સાથે શું થયું છે એ સાંભળશે ત્યારે ભયભીત થઇ જશે. યહોવા આમ કહે છે.

જે લોકો તમાંરામાંથી બચી જઈને દુશ્મનોના દેશમાં દેશવટો ભોગવી રહ્યા હશે તેમને હું એવા ભયભીત કરીશ કે એક પાંદડુ પડવાનો અવાજ થતાં તેઓ જાણે મોત પાછળ પડયું હોય તેમ ભાગવા માંડશે, ને કોઈ પાછળ પડયું ના હોવા છતાં તેઓ ભોંય પર ઢળી પડશે.
