સુલેમાંનને પોતાનો મહેલ પૂરો કરતાં 13 વર્ષ લાગ્યાં હતાં.

પછી મેં મારે પોતાને માટે મોટાં કામો ઉપાડ્યાં. મે પોતાને માટે મહેલો બંધાવ્યાં અને દ્રાક્ષાવાડીઓ રોપાવી.

તે કહે છે, “હું મારા માટે જેમાં વિશાળ ઉપરી ઓરડાઓ હોય તેવો એક ભવ્ય મહેલ બંધાવીશ, પછી તેમાં બારીઓ મૂકાવીશ, સુગંધીદાર એરેજકાષ્ટથી તેને મઢાવીશ તથા મનમોહક કિરમજી રંગથી તેને રંગાવીશ.”
