હઝકિયેલ 44:2
યહોવાએ મને કહ્યું, “આ દરવાજો બંધ રાખવામાં આવશે. એને કદી ઉઘાડવો નહિ. કોઇ માણસે એમાં થઇને દાખલ ન થવું, કારણ, ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવા એમાં થઇને દાખલ થયેલા છે, એને બંધ જ રાખવો.

આ સાંભળીને યહૂદિયાના ઉચ્ચ અધિકારીઓ રાજમહેલમાંથી મંદિરમાં પહોંચી ગયા અને યહોવાના મંદિરના નવા પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ ગોઠવાઇ ગયા.

દાઉદે એલઆઝારના વંશજ સાદોક અને ઇથામારના વંશજ અહીમેલેખેની મદદથી હારુનના કુલસમૂહોને તેમની ફરજ પ્રમાણે જૂથોમાં વહેંચી નાખ્યા.

આશ્શૂરના રાજાને પ્રસન્ન કરવા માટે તેણે મંદિરમાંથી પડદાવાળી બેસવાની જગ્યા અને બહારનો દરવાજો પણ દૂર કરી નાખ્યો.

પછી રાજાના અને મહેલના રક્ષકદળના નાયકોને તથા દેશના બધા લોકોને સાથે લઈ રાજાને યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી રક્ષકોને દરવાજે થઈને રાજમહેલમાં પહોંચાડી દીધો. યોઆશે રાજ સિંહાસન પર આસન લીધું.

વળી તેના ભાણામાં પીરસાતી વિવિધ વાનગીઓ તેની આસપાસ બેઠેલા દરબારીઓ, તેના સેવકો, તેમનો પોષાક અને તેમના વસ્રો, તેના પાત્રવાહકો અને જુદી જુદી જાતના યજ્ઞો જે યહોવાના મંદિરમાં અર્પણ કર્યા હતા તે જોઈને રાણી સ્તબ્ધ થઈ ગઈ.
