પરંતુ તેઓ બધા તેની વિરૂદ્ધ એક થઇ ગયા અને રાજાના હુકમથી તેમણે તેને મંદિરના પ્રાંગણમાં તેના પર પથ્થર ફેકીને મારી નાખ્યો.

પછી લોકોએ કહ્યું, “આવો આપણે યમિર્યાને દૂર કરીએ, આપણી પાસે આપણા પોતાના યાજકો આપણને શીખવવા માટે, શાણા પુરુષો આપણને સલાહ આપવા માટે, તથા પ્રબોધકો આપણે શું કરવું તે આપણને કહેવા માટે છે. આપણને યમિર્યાની સલાહની જરાય જરૂર નથી. આપણે તેને ચૂપ કરી દઇએ. જેથી તે આપણી વિરુદ્ધ કાઇં પણ વધારે બોલી શકે નહિ અને આપણને ફરીથી હેરાન કરે નહિ.”

ત્યારબાદ પેલા અમલદારોએ રાજાને કહ્યું, “આ માણસને મારી નાખવો જોઇએ. આવી વાતો કરીને એ આપણા યોદ્ધાઓને અને નગરમાં બાકી રહેલા લોકોને નાહિંમત બનાવી દે છે. એ આ લોકોનું હિત કરવા નથી માગતો પણ વિનાશ કરવા માંગે છે. તે દેશદ્રોહી છે.”

“પણ ખેડૂતોએ આ નોકરોને પકડ્યા અને તેમાના એકને ખૂબ માર્યો. અને બીજા નોકરને મારી નાખ્યો. અને ત્રીજા નોકરને પણ પત્થર વડે મારી નાખ્યો.

આથી હું તમારી પાસે પ્રબોધકને તથા જ્ઞાનીઓ તથા શાસ્ત્રીઓને મોકલું છું. તેઓમાંના કેટલાકને તમે વધસ્તંભે જડશો અને કેટલાકને મારી નાખશો. કેટલાકને તમે તમારા સભાસ્થાનોમાં કોરડા મારશો અને ગામેગામ તેઓની પાછળ પડશો.
