દાઉદે ઇસ્રાએલ રહેતા બધા વિદેશીઓને ભેગા કરવાનો હુકમ આપ્યો. અને તેમને દેવનું મંદિર બાંધવા માટે પથ્થરો ઘડવા સલાટ તરીકે કામે લગાડી દીધા.

તેઓએ તે પૈસા મંદિરના સમારકામમાં રોકાયેલા સુથારો, મિસ્રીઓ અને કડિયાઓને પગાર ચૂકવવામાં અને મંદિરના સમારકામ માટે લાકડું અને વહેરેલા પથ્થર ખરીદવામાં આપ્યા.

લાકડાના વેપારીઓ, પથ્થર અને ઇટના વેપારીઓ, અને જેઓએ યહોવાના મંદિરના બાંધકામ માટે સામગ્રી આપી હોય તેમને અને યહોવાના મંદિરના સમારકામ માટેની સામગ્રી લેવા માટે આપતા હતા.

રાજમહેલના આ ઓરડાઓનાં બાંધકામ માંટે અતિમૂલ્યવાન અને જોઇતા માંપ પ્રમાંણે તૈયાર કરેલા મોટા કદના પથ્થરોનો ઉપયોગ થયો હતો. સમગ્ર માંળખામાં આ પથ્થરો વપરાયા હતા.

1 રાજઓ 6:7
હાથ પહોળી હતી. તેણે દીવાલની બહારના ભાગમાં થાંભલા બનાવ્યા હતા જેથી કરીને ટેકાવાળાં ખંભા મંદિરના અંદરના ભાગની દીવાલમાં દેખાય નહિ. 7 મંદિર બાંધવામાં જે પથ્થરો વપરાતા હતા, તેને ખાણમાંજ કાપીને ચમકદાર બનાવાતાં હતા. તેથી મંદિર બંધાતુ હતુ ત્યારે હથોડા કુહાડી કે બીજા કોઈપણ લોખંડના ઓજારનો અવાજ સંભળાયો નહોતો.

2 શમએલ 5:11
સૂરના રાજા હીરામે કાસદો, સુથારો, પથ્થરકામ કરનારા અને દેવદાર કાષ્ટના, દાઉદને માંટે તેનો મહેલ બાંધવા મોકલ્યા.
