યાજકે ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “માંરી પાસે ગોલ્યાથ પલિસ્તીની તરવાર છે, જેને તમે એલાહની ખીણમાં માંરી નાખ્યો હતો, તે કપડાંમાં વીંટાંળીને એફોદની પાછળ મૂકેલી છે. જો તારી ઈચ્છા હોય તો તે લે; માંરી પાસે બીજી કોઇ નથી.”તેથી દાઉદે કહ્યું, “એના જેવી એકે નથી; તેથી એ મને આપ.”

અહીમેલેખે દાઉદ માંટે યહોવાને પ્રાર્થના કરી અને તેને ખાવાનું આપ્યું હતું અને પલિસ્તી ગોલ્યાથની તરવાર તેને આપી.”
