પરંતુ દેવે આ માટે બીજો દિવસ નક્કિ કર્યો. અને તે “આજનો દિવસ” કહેવાય છે. દેવે આ દિવસની આગાહી ઘણા વર્ષો બાદ દાઉદ રાજા મારફતે કરી હતી. તેવું પવિત્રશાસ્ત્રમાં બતાવ્યું છે જેનો અમે હમણાં ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો: “આજે જો તમે દેવની વાણી સાંભળો, તો જેમ ભૂતકાળમાં કર્યુ તેમ તમારું હ્રદય તેની વિરૂદ્ધ કઠણ કરશો નહિ.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 95:7-8

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
