Matthew 28 in Gujarati

1 વિશ્રામવારપૂર્ણ થયા પછી અઠવાડિયાના પ્રથમ દિવસની વહેલી સવારે મગ્દલાની મરિયમ તથા બીજી મરિયમ કબર તરફ નજર કરવા આવી.

2 તે સમયે ત્યાં ભયંકર ધરતીકંપ થયો અને પ્રભુનો એક દૂત આકાશમાંથી ઉતર્યો અને કબરના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળથી પથ્થર ગબડાવી તેના ઉપર બેઠો.

3 તેનો ચહેરો વીજળી જેવો ચમકતો હતો. અને તેનાં કપડાં બરફ જેવાં ઉજળાં હતાં.

4 જે સિપાઈઓ કબરનો પહેરો ભરી રહ્યાં હતા તે ભયના માર્યા કાંપવા લાગ્યા અને જાણે મરણ પામ્યા હોય તેવા થઈ ગયા.

5 પછી દૂતે પેલી સ્ત્રીઓને કહ્યું, “ગભરાશો નહિ, હું જાણું છું કે વધસ્તંભે જડાયેલા ઈસુની તમે શોધમાં નીકળ્યા છો.

6 પણ ઈસુ અહીં નથી, તેણે કહ્યું હતું તે પ્રમાણે તે ઊઠયો છે, આવો, તેનું શરીર જ્યાં પડ્યું હતું તે જગ્યા જુઓ.

7 અને હવે જલદી જાવ અને તેના શિષ્યોને કહો: ‘ઈસુ મરણમાંથી ઊઠયો છે. અને તે ગાલીલ જશે. ત્યાં તેને મળો.’ મારે જે કહેવાનું હતું તે આ છે. તમારા પહેલાં એ ત્યાં હશે. તમે તેને ત્યાં ગાલીલમાં જોશો. પછી દૂતે કહ્યું: “મેં તમને કહ્યું તે યાદ રાખો.”

8 સ્ત્રીઓ તરત જ કબર પાસેથી પાછી વળી. તેઓનાં હૃદય ભય અને આનંદની લાગણી અનુભવતાં હતાં. તેના શિષ્યોને જે કાંઈ બન્યું તેનો સંદેશો આપવા દોડી ગઈ.

9 તેઓ દોડતી જતી હતી, એવામાં તેઓએ ઈસુને ઉભેલો જોયો. ઈસુએ તેઓને કુશળતા પાઠવી. તેઓએ ઈસુના પગ પકડી તેનું ભજન કર્યુ.

10 પછી ઈસુએ તેમને કહ્યું, “ગભરાશો નહિ, જાઓ અને મારા ભાઈઓને (શિષ્યો) ગાલીલ જવા કહો. તેઓ મને ત્યાં જોશે.”

11 સ્ત્રીઓ શિષ્યોને માહિતી આપવા જતી હતી ત્યારે કબરની ચોકી કરનારા સૈનિકોએ શહેરમાં મુખ્ય યાજકો પાસે જઈને જે કાંઈ બન્યું હતું તે બધું જે તેમને કહ્યું.

12 યહૂદિ આગેવાનો તથા વડીલોએ એકઠા મળી એક યોજના બનાવી.અને સૈનિકોને મોટી લાંચ આપી.

13 તેઓએ સૈનિકોને કહ્યું, “લોકોને જઈને કહો કે અમે ઊંઘતા હતા ત્યારે ઈસુના શિષ્યો રાત્રે આવી ઈસુના શબને ચોરીને જતા રહ્યાં.

14 તમારી આ વાત હાકેમ જાણશે તો અમે તેને સમજાવીશું, અને તમને કશુંજ નહિ થવા દઈએ.”

15 સૈનિકોએ પૈસા લઈ લીધા અને તેઓને સમજાવ્યા પ્રમાણે વાત વહેતી મૂકી. આ વાત યહૂદિઓમાં ફેલાઈ ગઈ અને આજે પણ એ વાત યહૂદિઓમાં ચાલતી આવે છે.

16 પછી અગિયાર શિષ્યો ગાલીલ પહોંચ્યા અને ઈસુએ કહ્યું હતું ત્યાં પહાડ પર પહોંચી ગયા.

17 તેઓએ જ્યારે ઈસુને જોયો ત્યારે તેનું ભજન કર્યુ. પણ તે ખરેખર ઈસુ હતો કે કેમ? તે બાબતની કેટલાકને શંકા થઈ.

18 ઈસુ તેમની પાસે આવ્યો અને કહ્યું, “આકાશ અને પૃથ્વી પર સર્વ અધિકાર મને આપવામાં આવ્યો છે.

19 તેથી તમે બધાજ દેશોમાં જાઓ અને સર્વ લોકોને મારા શિષ્યો બનાવો, બાપ તથા દીકરા તથા પવિત્ર આત્માના નામે તેઓને બાપ્તિસ્મા આપો.

20 મેં તમને જે જે આજ્ઞા આપી છે તે પ્રમાણે તેઓને તે આજ્ઞાઓનું પાલન કરવાનું શીખવતા જાઓ અને જુઓ, જગતના અંતકાળ પર્યત સદાય હું તમારી સાથે છું.” 

1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
