Matthew 14 - BBE (Gujarati)

1 At that time news of Jesus came to Herod the king;આ સમયે ગાલીલના રાજ્યકર્તા હેરોદ, ઈસુ વિષે સાંભળ્યું.

2 And he said to his servants, This is John the Baptist; he has come back from the dead, and so these powers are working in him.ત્યારે તેણે પોતાના ચાકરોને કહ્યું, “આ માણસ (ઈસુ) તો યોહાન બાપ્તિસ્ત છે. તે મૃત્યુમાંથી ઉઠયો છે. તેથી જ આ પરાક્રમી કામો કરવા તે સાર્મથ્યવાન છે.”

3 For Herod had taken John and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.હેરોદે આ પહેલા યોહાનને કેદ કર્યો હતો અને તેને સાંકળો વડે બાંધી જેલમાં પૂરી દીધો હતો. હેરોદના ભાઈ ફિલિપની પત્ની હરોદિયાને લીધે યોહાનની ધરપકડ થઈ હતી.

4 Because John had said to him, It is not right for you to have her.હેરોદે યોહાનની ધરપકડ એટલા માટે કરી હતી કે તે તેને વારંવાર કહેતો કે, “હેરોદિયાની સાથે રહેવું તારા માટે ઉચિત નથી.”

5 And he would have put him to death, but for his fear of the people, because in their eyes John was a prophet.તેથી હેરોદ તેને મારી નાંખવા માંગતો હતો પરંતુ તે લોકોથી ડરતો હતો. કારણ લોકો યોહાનને પ્રબોધક માનતા હતા.

6 But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias was dancing before them, and Herod was pleased with her.પણ હેરોદના જન્મ દિવસે હેરોદિયાની દીકરીએ હેરોદ અને તેના મહેમાનોની સમક્ષ નૃત્ય કર્યુ. તેથી તે ખૂબ ખુશ થયો.

7 So he gave her his word with an oath to let her have whatever she might make request for.હેરોદે તેને વચન આપ્યું કે તારે જે જોઈએ તે માંગ હું તને આપીશ.

8 And she, at her mother's suggestion, said, Give me here on a plate the head of John the Baptist.શું માંગવું તે હેરોદિયાએ તેની દીકરીને કહ્યું, તેથી તેણે હેરોદને કહ્યુ, “આ થાળીમાં યોહાન બાપ્તિસ્તનું માથું મને આપ.”

9 And the king was sad; but because of his oaths and because of his guests, he gave the order for it to be given to her;રાજા હેરોદ ખૂબજ દિલગીર થયો પણ તેના મહેમાનોની સમક્ષ તેણે તે દીકરીને વચન આપ્યું હતું, તેથી તેની માંગ પૂરી કરવા હુકમ કર્યો.

10 And he sent and had John's head cut off in the prison.તેથી તેણે જેલમાં માણસોને યોહાનનો શિરચ્છેદ કરવા મોકલ્યા.

11 And his head was put on a plate and given to the girl; and she took it to her mother.યોહાનનું માથું થાળીમાં મૂકીને છીકરીને આપ્યું. છોકરી તે માથું તેની મા પાસે લઈ ગઈ.

12 And his disciples came, and took up his body and put it in the earth; and they went and gave Jesus news of what had taken place.પછી યોહાનના શિષ્યો આવ્યા અને તેનું ધડ લીધુ અને દફનાવી દીધું. પછી તેઓએ જઈને ઈસુને આ બધી બાબત જણાવી.

13 Now when it came to the ears of Jesus, he went away from there in a boat, to a waste place by himself: and the people hearing of it, went after him on foot from the towns.ઈસુએ જ્યારે યોહાન વિષે જાણ્યું ત્યારે તે હોડીમાં એકલો એકાંત સ્થળે ચાલ્યો ગયો. લોકોએ જ્યારે જાણ્યું કે ઈસુ ચાલ્યો ગયો છે, તો લોકસમુદાય પોતાના ગામ છોડી તેની પાછળ પાછળ ચાલતો ગયો.

14 And he came out and saw a great number of people and he had pity on them, and made well those of them who were ill.ઈસુ જ્યારે હોડીમાંથી બહાર આવ્યો ત્યારે તેણે લોકોની ભીડ જોઈ, તેમના પર દયા વર્ષાવી, માંદા લોકોને સાજા કર્યા.

15 And when evening had come, the disciples came to him, saying, This place is waste land, and the time is now past; send the people away so that they may go into the towns and get themselves food.બપોર પછી તેના શિષ્યો તેની પાસે આવ્યા અને કહ્યુ, “આ સુમસાન જગ્યા છે. હવે ખૂબ મોડું થઈ ગયું છે તો લોકોને મોકલો કે જેથી તેઓ ગામડાઓમાં જાય અને તેમના માટે થોડું ખાવાનું ખરીદે.”

16 But Jesus said to them, There is no need for them to go away; give them food yourselves.ઈસુએ કહ્યંુ, “તમારે દૂર જવાની જરૂર નથી. તમે તેઓને ખાવા માટે ખોરાક આપો.”

17 And they say to him, We have here but five cakes of bread and two fishes.શિષ્યોએ કહ્યુ, “પણ આપણી પાસે ફક્ત પાંચ રોટલી અને બે માછલી છે.”

18 And he said, Give them to me.ઈસુએ કહ્યુ, “રોટલી અને માછલી મારી પાસે લાવો,”

19 And he gave orders for the people to be seated on the grass; and he took the five cakes of bread and the two fishes and, looking up to heaven, he said words of blessing, and made division of the food, and gave it to the disciples, and the disciples gave it to the people.પછી તેણે લોકોને ઘાસ પર બેસી જવા કહ્યું. ઈસુએ પાંચ રોટલી અને બે માછલી લીધી અને તેણે આકાશ તરફ જોયું, ખોરાક માટે દેવનો આભાર માન્યો, તેણે રોટલીના ટૂકડા કર્યા અને તેના શિષ્યોને તે આપ્યા. અને તેઓએ તે લોકોને આપ્યા.

20 And they all took of the food and had enough: and they took up twelve baskets full of broken bits which were not used.બધા જ લોકોએ ખાધુ અને ખૂબજ સંતુષ્ટ થયા. ખોરાકના બાકીના બચેલા ટૂકડાઓ શિષ્યોએ બાર ટોપલીઓમાં ભર્યા.

21 And those who had food were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.જેઓએ ત્યાં ખાધું તેમા સ્ત્રીઓ અને બાળકોને ગણતરીમાં લીધા સિવાય 5,000 પુરુંષો હતા.

22 And straight away he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, till he had sent the people away.પછી ઈસુએ તેના શિષ્યોને હોડીમાં જવાનું કહ્યુ અને કહ્યું, “તમે સરોવરની પેલે પાર જાઓ, હું થોડી વારમાં આવુ છું.” ઈસુ ત્યાં રોકાયો અને લોકોને કહ્યું, “તમે ઘેર જાઓ.”

23 And after he had sent the people away, he went up into the mountain by himself for prayer: and when evening was come, he was there by himself.ઈસુએ લોકોને વિદાય આપી અને ટેકરી પર એકલો પ્રાર્થના કરવા ગયો ત્યારે ખૂબજ મોડું થઈ ગયું હતું અને ઈસુ એકલો જ ત્યાં હતો.

24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, and was troubled by the waves: for the wind was against them.આ વખતે હોડી કિનારાથી ખૂબજ દૂર હતી અને મોજાઓથી ડામાડોળ થઈ રહી હતી કારણ કે તેની સાથે સખત પવન ફૂંકાતો હતો.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.સવારના ત્રણ અને છ બાગ્યાની વચ્ચે ઈસુ સરોવરના પાણી પર ચાલતો ચાલતો તેમની પાસે આવ્યો.

26 And when they saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they gave cries of fear.ઈસુને પાણી પર ચાલતો આવતો જોઈને શિષ્યો ભયભીત થયા અને બૂમો પાડવા લાગ્યા કે, “આ ભૂત છે!”

27 But straight away Jesus said to them, Take heart; it is I, have no fear.ઈસુ તરત જ બોલ્યો: “ચિંતા ન કરો! એ તો હું જ છું! ડરો નહિ.”

28 And Peter, answering, said to him, Lord, if it is you, give me the order to come to you on the water.ત્યારે પિતરે તેને કહ્યું, “પ્રભુ, જો એ તું જ છે, તો તું મને પાણી પર ચાલીને તારી પાસે આવવા કહે.”

29 And he said, Come. And Peter got out of the boat, and walking on the water, went to Jesus.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “પિતર, તું આવ.”પછી પિતર હોડીમાંથી ઉતરી પાણી પર ચાલતો ઈસુ તરફ જવા લાગ્યો.

30 But when he saw the wind he was in fear and, starting to go down, he gave a cry, saying, Help, Lord.પણ જ્યારે પિતર પાણી પર ચાલતો હતો ત્યારે તેણે સખત પવન ફૂંકાતો જોયો અને તે ડરી ગયો. તે ડૂબવા લાગ્યો અને બૂમ પાડી ઊઠ્યો, “હે પ્રભુ, મને બચાવ!”

31 And straight away Jesus put out his hand and took a grip of him, and said to him, O man of little faith, why were you in doubt?તરત જ ઈસુએ તેનો હાથ પકડ્યો અને કહ્યું, “તારો વિશ્વાસ ઘણો ઓછો છે. અને તેં શા માટે શંકા કરી?”

32 And when they had got into the boat, the wind went down.ઈસુ અને પિતર હોડીમાં ચઢયા પછી પવન શાંત થઈ ગયા.

33 And those who were in the boat gave him worship, saying, Truly you are the Son of God.તેના જે શિષ્યો હોડીમાં હતા તેઓએ તેને નમન કર્યુ અને કહ્યું, “તું ખરેખર દેવનો દીકરો છે.”

34 And when they had gone across, they came to land at Gennesaret.સરોવર પાર કરી, તેઓ ગન્નેસરેતને કિનારે ઉતર્યા.

35 And when the men of that place had news of him, they sent into all the country round about, and took to him all who were ill,લોકોએ જાણ્યું કે ઈસુ આવ્યો છે, તે તેના આગમનના સમાચાર તેઓએ આખા પ્રદેશમાં પ્રસરાવ્યા, અને બધાજ માંદા લોકોને ઈસુ પાસે લાવવા એકબીજાને કહ્યું અને લોકો ઈસુ પાસે બધાજ માંદા માણસોને લાવ્યા.

36 With the request that they might only put their hands on the edge of his robe: and all those who did so were made well.અને માંદા લોકો ઈસુને આજીજી કરવા લાગ્યા કે ફક્ત તારા ઝભ્ભાની કિનારને અડકવા દે. જેટલા લોકોએ તેના ઝભ્ભાને સ્પર્શ કર્યો તે બધાજ સાજા થઈ ગયા.
