કેટલીક સ્ત્રીઓ વધસ્તંભથી દૂર ઊભી રહીને જોતી હતી. આ સ્ત્રીઓમાં મરિયમ માગ્દલાની, ઈસુકો નાનો ભાઈ યાકૂબ તથા યોસેની મા મરિયમ અને શલોમી હતી. (યાકૂબ તેનો સૌથી નાનો પુત્ર હતો.)
